Loud squeal at startup
So whenever I start my car it has a loud high pitched squeal for a few seconds but then stops.
i belive it’s the tensioner and the belts and on this car it’s different from my other car you don’t just replace the whole tensioner ?
because I watched a video and he just tightened and loosened the tensioner to put on belts, so do I have to buy anything for the tensioner or do I just replace the belts and tighten the tensioner how it should be tightened
on my old truck I had to replace the whole tensioner and belts because the tensioner was not like this one

The squeal is usually due to drive belts that loosen as the temperature drops. This is common when the season changes. How long has it been since you last changed them? Go to the DIY section to look for the thread on changing belts and how to use the tensioner.

i have not changed the belts I bought the car 2 weeks ago from a friend and then after I changed the coil packs it started doing it but that shouldn’t have anything to do with the squeal

I also checked both belts so and it seems pretty tight so I guess it’s time for them to be replaced
