I installed the ZR3 Laser diffuser this past weekend and my SES light stays on. I can't think of anything I did that would cause this. All I did was connect the power to the same cig. lighter fuse that my V-1 is connected to and grounded it to a bolt under the drivers side compartment.
I have the digimoto OBD II software on my PC and I can shut it off quite easily but as soon as I start the car again, it comes back on. The software doesn't tell me what the code is all about so I'm still not sure there.
I haven't tried resetting the ECU by may give that a try.
One final thought. While I was under there (drivers side underneath) i hit that little silver button that I thought was for the alarm system. I pushed it in accidentally. It is up in front of the clutch pedal WAY up underneath. I'm not sure what that button is exactly or whether it has anything to do with the SES light.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I thought that the Digimoto software would give it to me but it doesn't for this particular code. It just indicates that it is ON and I can then shut it off.
Anyway, when I got home tonight, I did the TS ECU reset sequence and it went off. I shut off the car and restarted it and it STAYED off! I'm going to try it again later to be sure it stays that way.
BTW, does anyone know what that button under there is for?
Here is a pic of it.

That may be a fuel pump release. My Explorer had one in about the same area. In the event of a collision, the fuel pump shuts off to avoid pushing fuel to a could-be damaged engine. The switch would allow it to reactivate if no damage to the engine was discovered post accident.
Just a guess.

As I type this, my car is 290 miles away in MD at Altered Atmosphere. I dropped it off Monday morning for some new stuff.
I'm getting the AAM Spec fuel system:
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=83074
The 9 psi ATI Procharger Pulley
An FJO A/F sensor and gauge
and the "Technosquare" ECU reflash for FI.
Since this error code kept coming up despite my numerous attempts to clear it (it would clear but it would come right back when I started the car again) I checked the code and it seems to be related to the Heated O2 sensor on the drivers side. AAM is going to check that for me too. I may need a new one.

We already discussed this. Someone else said the same thing and that makes sense but then someone else chimed in and said the the cruise is disengaged with only a slight depression of the clutch. The clutch doesn't depress this button unless it is pushed in ALL the way. A slight push on the clutch does NOT touch this button.
While checking fuses because my SRS light keeps tripping, I found that thing that looks like a reset button for something as you said. I believe it is for starting the engine. I think you have to have the clutch pushed in all the way before the car will be able to start-allows juice to flow to the starter.
