Default suction cup rig no good?? for me atleast lol

well since today was the super bowl i had a bright idea to go to turnbull canyon and take a couple of vids since the roads should be clear..

well it didn't turn out to well for me, i fasten my digital camera to my roof of my car using the suction mount i bought while back... i did a couple of passes ranging from 20mph to 75mph and it held up great, but the vids were borning from that angle.

then i thought, "Hey! why not rig it to my fender so you can see the wheel/fender action" ....not even 2 minutes of driving, i heard clunk clunk tink tink.. and i see my camera from my rear view mirror lol

heres the last vid from my beloved camera lol.. its pretty boring..

..question.. how or what do you guys use to rig the camera on the fender?

heres how mine looked

and i pushed that damn "push" button so hard to make sure it had a good seal lol..

You just purchased the cheapest suction cup mount on ebay.. LOL Its all good I researched for a month on witch one to buy. In the end I went with one that was tested for speeds up to 175 on a Motorcycle and its made in America! I use my bullet style camcorder and suction cup it to the side of my car works like a champ.

The company is called Ram Mounting and here is a link to the item I bought. Hope this helps.

I have some pricey suction cups, but there is no way I would drive my car more then a couple miles an hour with my camera attached.

i didn't know that the suction cup was the cheapest around lol.. it came with my navigation system.. so i decided to mount my ps camera on it.. it did hold pretty good on the roof up to 75mph on that same street. on the fender, its a different story as you can see from my vid lol.

the camera is all scratched up, but i managed to pull the lense and now its able to take pictures again! sure the micro doesn't shoot well... but it works! lol

I'll just mount the camera on the side mirror or something till i get a new mount or something

i'll check out those products you guys mentioned

thanks
