Default Dyno Day in Dallas

OK, everything is set for our dyno day! Remember, this is just a dyno day so please don't try to add things to it. I assume most people will want to hang out afterwards anyway.

DYNO DAY for 350Zs and G35s
Date: Saturday, July 29th, 2006
Time: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
Price: $50 - $10 discount = $40
Place: HPP Racing
414 Holfords Prairie Rd
Lewisville, TX 75056

(click on address to get map)

The dynos are on dynojets and we'll do 3 wideband pulls. If you want, they could also do SAE correction on your pulls also.

Also, please try to show up as early as possible. We don't want to all rush in at 1:00 pm. I will be there by 10:00 and hopefully most of you guys will get there early as well. Note, that if everybody's done dynoing by 1:30 and you show you past that time, you will not be able to dyno your car. However, Ozzie did tell me that if we get so many people that he can't finish within the allotted time he's given us, he'll postpone everything else until he's done dynoing everybody. Thanks and hope to see you all there.

If you have questions, PM me and I'll try to answer them.

I'll be at Jotech around 5pm or so today. I thought about getting the car dynoed while I am there.

My heat shield (I think) on my passenger side has been rattling for the longest time. I want it fixed.

Also, my oil pressure sending unit went out last Saturday. I put a new one on last night (I'll never attempt that again), and it has an extremely small leak. It needs probably half a turn more to tighten it. I also want them to fix that for me as well.

desibhar - Why didn't you show up at Texas Motorplex last night? The people their had a pretty fun time. You should've come. Also, I don't know about Jotech, but the rest of the places I listed all have dynojets.

350Track - So, are you getting it dyno'd there as well then?

I really wanted to show up... but my car was still in the shop for clutch/flywheel and LSD...

It should have taken them 1.5 days, ended up taking them 4 days

How did your car do?

Ah, so if we have a dyno day sometime this summer, I'm assuming you'd join?

Nice times... It would be interesting to see how I would do, esp since Dan didn't do great times the first two runs (traction is such a pita)...

definately some really great runs there... especially the two integras that were there.... i'm still interested why they wouldn't race side by side... i think THEIR best time was in the white one with 1/4 in 9.8

anyways... i'm really wanting to get some new tires before i go racing... so MAYBE next time... but at least i know where the place is now...

i still vote Alamo Autosports for the dyno day, they have been around for quite some time, have a dynojet, and almost always have reputable cars in their shop... ex. vipers, skylines, supras, vettes, and of course Zs... they also do civics and focus too but i don't believe we were talking about econo-boxs right?

anyways... if we're going to alamo count me in... if not i'll have to catch you guys some other time...

So far, the cheapest place seems to be High Powered Performance Racing. $50 for 3 wideband pulls. There was one today also for $35, but that was too far away.

I am in where ever we decide to go. 3hree5ive0ero thanks for getting the info. The only thing that would stop me from going is if I am out of town. I will be in Hong Kong most fo the month of July.

So hopefully more people chime in and we set this thing up real soon. We need at least 5 people for the discounts to be effective for most of the shops.

Where are all the DFW Z people? They all die or something?

3hree5ive0ero,

Post some dates and the dyno shop, and I'll cross post this on ZOS. Hopefully, we will get at least a few more people from there.

I can't exactly set up a date unless people start participating. I need to know when most people can go for the best pricing and which shop most people want to go to.

No need to do the work FOR me on ZOS, as I am a member too, after meeting a few people from there. But being a nice person that I am, I'll let you go ahead and do it.
