I'm trying to figure out why my insurance is ridiculous so I decided to change insurance companies and start shopping around. My current insurance company has me listed as having no moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years but State Farm is telling me I have a ticket for "Improper Passing" that I don't believe I have. I need the help of one of our friendly neighborhood law enforcement officers to run my license and see what pops up. Preferably one in MD. Any help out there fellas?
I'm an Allstate agent so I'll explain how Allstate see's it. We may "forgive" a two pt violation, so the ticket is scrubbed from your MVR when we view it. Another insurance company may not be forgiving it.
Also, the insurance industry looks at Insurance pts. MV may say you have no MVR pts, but the insurance company may be seeing a ticket within 3 years that they are not forgiving pts for. Hope that helps.

You can get a three year or a complete history

I'm a cop but we can't use the electronic databases for unofficial purposes.
Your lawyer can file a freedom of information act request with the feds to see if you have any record there, and can deal with the locals to find out if there's anything in their databases hurting you. gl!
