Default Wats Happening!?!?!

Okay, so got off work early today and i pull up and see a package, ends up being this Crawford v4 plenum i got off 350z.com. So anyways i get in take off my stock plenum, take the throttle body off the stock one and attach it to the Crawford v4, add a 5/16 md spacer bolt all that ish back up together *8foot-lobs/100 inch-lbs*. So once i get in the car and when i start the car the engine starts then goes up to about 2k rpm and back to 400 stutters then dies.. *within 1-2 seconds*. I do a ECU reset twice nothing. So i take off EVERYTHING again and redo everything step by step a second time. Get in the car and the same thing happens again... WTF? so now im blown cuz my car is fockin up and i got no ride to work tomorrow.. *Metro FTL*. I went ahead and unplugged my battery for tonite and i'll try and hook it back up maybe that'll reset my throttle body or something.. but wtf..? plus i smell fuel once i turn it on *each time it was for 5-10 seconds max*.. almost like the car is pushing alot more fuel than it needs. The crawford is alot bigger than stock and with a spacer on top of that that shyt is HUGE!.. i don't even think i can fit a strut bar now. but anyone wat the hell is happening? any advice?

thanks,
-Tarik

why are you running a spacer with the Crawford plenum? try removing the spacer and checking everything again.

The real Jeffie has a higher post count, + can ride a bike faster. =)

worst case, we'll both get on bikes and the person who makes it to the end of the street first will be labeled the real jeffie.

WOLF found that vacuum leak..

give that RTV like 30 minutes to dry in the sun...if you can start the car and stay on the gas...let it warm up a bit..the extra heat will aid the RTV..
add the RTV AFTER you warm the car up...lol

AFTER...or push it out in the sun...but it doesnt need long at all to dry...any hour is over kill

if that doesnt work....

I have a lower collector, but I have the revup joint....is your car a revup? I dont think it is, but at least you will be up and running. I am in Richmond now but will be back tomorrow night if you need to swing by and get it...only prob is...I will need another one....NEVER selling ALL of my stock parts again...but you can borrow it until you get a new one.

what if i put silicone sealant all around the plenum? *in between upper and lower*? like the skunk2 spacer install.

Example:

Okay.. i am official stumped... WAT THE EFF!! I just put sealant all the way around the plenum connecting to the lower.. so it can't be leaks.. i'm lettin it dry for a couple more mins but i went ahead and started it see if it dies instantly and it does.. what else could it be.. i checked the lines *4 of them. not hard to miss* the oil in the bottom, the radiator fluid one in the bottom too, the top fuel, and the one on the side next to the battery.... wtf!!.. how would i know if the plenum is deffective? i sealed all the way around *behind the bolts too that way i was sure for 100% seal*... GOD... i been here since thursday at 3 pm... godamn..

did you try installing your origina stuff and seeing if it does the same thing?

Honestly man, I know you say it is all attached, but I have a feeling something is disconnected.
