whether or not its a "true synthetic" independent oil testing does not lie...

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...ml#post8228335

yes its built engines most of those guys are comparing there but the same still holds true...

NOTE: Different engines react differently to different oils and viscosity's
For example
ROYAL PURPLE is horrible in our cars but TONS of V8 guys have great results. Its all different based on your engine and you should not assume just because its good in one its good in the other.

Agreed, I always use mobil 1 5w-30. Every car I've ever owned. I pulled apart my eclipse engine after 130,000 miles, and it was very very clean. I'm down for some LNR'S just got to get me when I'm fee, and it's warm

There's also people who use old school oils and get no slug build up at all, people always like to take the extreme case pictures and use them for examples.

My old Z had 100K miles on it with zero build up. My old civic motor had 115K before coming out with zero build up.

for the record I use mobil 1 in the Z, Benz, and Civic. Longer spans between oil changes FTMFW! I also do believe synth oil does product better for longer but normal oil isn't all that bad as long as its changed before its life span is over.

Yup independent oil testing does not lie. A friend of mine did a science fair project on oil and sythetic came out flowing better or something like that.

Yes, every car reacts differently to each oil. Mobil 1 for example is great in your cars but in Subarus its supposed to cause spun bearings in the long run and subarus are supposed to burn through that stuff. I use mobil 1 most of the time and I like it, no issues what so ever. Just because its the same car doesn't mean it'll react like other people's cars.

So many subis have spun bearings that pointing fingers only makes sense.

I'll prob do an oil change this weekend. I've been using Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30 for awhile now, and I always change the filter with a Mobil 1 filter too.
