[NSFW] Mid-A Epic Random-ness: Third Encounter
Bryan doubt we can make it but where is it located?
For anyone who cares. SAMs club in Severn has 2 iPhone 5s in stock. Black 16gb.
I'm due for an upgrade, played around with the 5 and went meh. I'll keep my 4s
After getting my hands on it, it def does feel cheaper and the back looks like ****.

We were 3 hours late getting to where we had to go, so we were not able to stop by. One day we will meet up.
I felt like manthatcantbenamed-racer trying to keep up with Roberto on 495 today.
That little RS is pretty quick in the 495 twisties. I made a point to do a ricer fly by to show him what's up..... Once we hit a straight away.

^ Yeah, the RS is not bad on wide turns. But I am sure your STi would have kept with it without a problem if you would have wanted to. I guess you just did not want to go into the triple digits :P
Besides, I saw your ricer fly approaching by from far ahead. But when I saw the speed your STi was picking up, I didn't even tried to push it or keep up.
That was some crazy acceleration.

Those big injectors love dumping fuel.
I'm not a big manthatcantbenamed when it comes to major roads, one day you and anh need to come checkout all the local backroads I ride bikes on. Much slower speeds but really tight turns.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!! My brand new flatscreen [purchased new this Xmas from TigerDirect.com] just died. I had it on and was in the bathroom cleaning and came back out and the screen was black with sound coming through the receiver. Changed batteries in the remote, turned everything off and back on and no sound came from the receiver and neither the power light nor the tv would come back on.
My power strip is really old and made a "bzzzzt" sound when I turned it off/on so that's definitely getting replaced tomorrow morning.
I'm looking this up right now and apparently some flatscreens can experience a "black screen of death" when something blows internally?
Makes sense for an older model, but my set was brand new.
Specs on tv: Westinghouse 46" LED HD 1080P 120Hz.
If anyone knows what I need to do feel free to chime in as this is my first flatscreen. And from what I've read, Westinghouse seems to screw people when it comes to repairing/replacing tv sets. Great to find this sh*t out now.

Bad internal power supply? I've had a few friends experience that with LCDs. Warranty covers it sometimes.
I assume you plugged it in directly? No small reset button on it anywhere?

Should be under warrenty. I'd give the company that makes it a call.
I see people ***** about every company. So call anyways.

Yep. Just tried it with a small power strip. Everything is getting power except the TV. How the fawk does this happen to a brand new set though? My old Samsung tube lasted through several moves and never gave me so much as a problem. I'm asking folks for recommendations for a replacement on FB. So I'll ask you guys too. LED or plasma? LG or Samsung? That's what I'm looking at right now.
That's life. I buy lots of computer and audio/video things for work. Sometimes you get items that are DOA other times they last 6 months and die. Normally if they make it to 12 months they are good to go.
If its a legit problem warrenty will cover it.

Could be worse. Your dd could be acting up and your z gets Flat. No way to work. Now that would suck.
Check out walmarts return policy. It use to be 90 days. Rent a tv from walmart for a few hundred bucks and return it once yours comes back. Or add another tv to your house. Nice having one in the bedroom.
Life man. **** happens. Just figure out the best way to handle it and push forward.

****UPDATE*****
So this morning I go up front, and unplug everything from the old surge protector and plug each component into a small, cheap emergency one. And lo and behold everything works again.
Do these new flatscreens have something that can temporarily shut them down in the event of a surge or electric emergency? Because since my old surge protector is a piece of sh*t and was making a buzzing sound, that's the only logical thing I could think of.
I'm replacing it today and hopefully I just saved myself a few hundred bucks.

It's all in the wing
Clay, it's common for electronics to blow out if you give it a faulty power source. General rule of thumb: power strips aren't suppose to buzz... period. If it does, there's a spike in voltage giving the TV a varying degree of volts. Not surprising it could short out the TV or any electrical device for that matter.
