SL500 A M G VS. 350Z, Who would win?

 

Is that a joke?

 

SL500 AMG (actually called SL55 AMG) puts out 490+hp and 500+ tq. It weighs a bit more, but with that kind of output, no chance.

Be very hesitant about racing anything that says AMG on it.

Especially in a straight line.

"Evo" magazine recently ran a comparison of a SL55 AMG vs a Caterham R300. Some numbers.

Caterham - track car, 1.8L 4 cyl, 160 hp but 333 hp/ton.

Benz - luxury sports car, 5.4L Supercharged V8, 500 hp, 516 lb/ft torque, 255 hp/ton.

Yeah AMG is a pretty aggressive Mercedes Type, Lots Of Power

Too Bad there's No Manual Tranny, I guess....It's got the Sport Tronic like my Z, I guess it doesn't really matter when you got that much power, the germans obviously thought it was wise to put that type of tranny in there, They had a reason for doin it, It's a new technology, maybe the manual is being replaced by the dual transmission, I mean it's a $85-$130K Automobile for cryin out loud. Manual/SportTronic, who really cares, as long as it hauls *** do you really care?? I look at that transimission and mine as an upgrade and a great option for me. I only have one Car, I guess if I had two I probably would have got the Manual.

 

LOL dam AMGs and Brabus Tuned Benz's freakin rock! I ran a couple on the hwy and hung for a bit and then those cars just start walkin me. My car is a lot better of a dead stop car..heres an example of how fast one of the AMG cars are.. I ran one dead stop on they hwy in the middle of the night and from dead stop to whatever.. he caught and passed me at 120 and it was over.. wayyy over and the 350z that I ran from my friend..I spotted him 4 cars and the jump and passed him in the middle of my 2nd gear and by 120 he was about 8 cars behind! no comparison

 

12.9 from a supercharged 5.5L Not very impressive.

How about 493hp/516tq is that impressive?

I guess you think that is worse than a 8.3 ltr Viper at 500/525?

Is there a sport coupe convertable with a better 1/4 I'm not aware of?
