I happen to agree. I personally think the Z is a better value. That's one of the reasons I bought one. But it is subjective.

As for the skyline, It is still a Nissan.
I'm failing to see the point. An apple is an apple, etc... Are you saying that porche is a superior car manufacturer, so therefor, the cars they make are superior?

A Porsche will always be a Porsche (until they start building SUV's or something).

Same can be said for Ferrari. You can soup up a 911 Turbo to beat the living hell out of a 360, but in the end, the Posrche is still a P-car and the Ferrari is still a Ferrari.
Just enjoy your car.
Again, what is the point. So a nissan isn't as good and a porsche which isn't as good as a Ferrari? Besides the chasis design and basic body design, there is nothing that can't be changed with any car to get better performance without truely changing the car's identitiy.

Remember, there is always more tuning that can be done to the Ferrari, however, it would probably change its consumer market and either become too expensive or lose too much luxery. Maybe it's the leader for factory performance in your mind, but then again there are always different applications for each car. A truck can go off road, a civic can save gas, etc... I will argue the point the the R-34 is a better touring car than any other out there, but every car has it's strengths and weaknesses.

What is it about the porsche that makes it superior? What is it about the Ferrari that makes it superior?

Well, because a Porsche is a Porsche.
And a Ferrari is a Ferrari.
I know people will have different opinions. That's fine. I wasn't asking anyone to agree with me.

Simple.

I respect your opinions. These forums allow all sorts of people to voice their opinions, and let other people agree/disagree all day long.
I think it's great that we don't all think alike. That would be boring.

But again, in my opinion, A Nissan will always be a nissan (a company that builds Sentra's and Minivans, and Porsche/Ferrari will always be the exotic marque with a reputation, following, heritage that few manufacturers will ever match.

I love my Z. I love it for what it is. Nothing more.
Take care,

And to answer your question the 911 carrera is faster than the Z...

I don't care if the Porsche is twice the cost......all that says is you paid too much. The Z-Car appearance/styling is far superior to the outdated Porsche. If I had $100,000 to spend on a car....without a doubt, I would choose the Z.

It looks better, the drive is definitely smoother, the performance is equal if not better and back to the looks, like them beside each other, poll people and I feel certain a large majority will find the Z more asthetically pleasing...and hands down find the Z a far better choice for a AWESOME looking sports car with outstanding performance.

The Porsche is a has been. The Z is now....The Z is classy, beautifully designed, quick enough to satisfy ANY sports car lover and man, it is just plain large and in charge...The Z is a work of art, not an overpriced, ego-driven name brand that is so outdated it can't een compete!

You can have your Porsche.....I wouldn't own it. I mean after all they sound like a souped up VW Bug!

No offense, just feel strongly about the Z Car. (To each his own!)

As previously mentioned, everyone has the right to their own opinion.
Debates such as this are emotionally driven. No one is going to change sides. So, I won't bother.

I will say that Nissan can gloat all it wants as soon as it hoilds more race wins than any other manufacturer. Ever.

Anyone want to take a stab at who I might be talking about?

Nuf of this... I'm going driving...

Take care,
why don't you say this "nissan a company that makes the GT-R, 350Z, etc...." and "Porsche, the company that makes a 200HP cab that gets beat by hondas, nissans and toyotas, and NOW makes family SUVs"

btw, I am a HUGE Porsche fan (1st and for most). BUt when I say "porsche faN" I mean 911s, NOT SUVs and boxsters!!
