Default FIRST DYNOs!!!

ok, first of all, it started right up!! i am very happy with how it sounds and runs, so WTF, why not break it in on the dyno?? hehehe

here are a couple of the first pulls. this is still stock headers, stock lower runners, stock plenum, stock airbox and tube, mild cams and not tuned. i just did a couple pulls on the dyno to make sure the AFR was safe and took some timing out to be sure...

more to come soon!!!

remember, this is on a dynojet in FL at about 80 degree weather with about two hours of breaking in before hand, this is seriously just the beginning...

Notice how it pulls straight across from 6250 on, i have the rev limiter at 7500 for now...

I am happy to see this so close to the 300whp mark. I have no doubt that with the right cams, headers, tune and cosworth plenum it will be well over 300whp.

Those are STD numbers though, SAE will be lower... but yea with some bolt ons it will be over 300 SAE. A bone stock 98 LS1 makes 300hp at the wheels SAE through an automatic. But it won't rev to 7500rpm which is obviously cooler.

With some wicked cams and headers you should see some jaw dropping power gains jeremy. Looking good!

Cams, head work and the other required mods and this thing has a lot more than I think everyone might realize... Heads and cams are a must though.. I think that we will see 350whp or more with all of these done plus tune(maybe alot more). Add a 200 shot and with the trans brake I'm thinking low low 10sec ET's maybe high 9's. Jermey whats your car weigh? I'm hoping when my turbo 331 SB is finished I can make it down to Orlando and see this thing run.

looking good man

after a few more miles put on it and a tune it should be making some good power. Nothing beats a good N/A powerband, look how smooth it is

yeah guys, the motor was very heat soaked, the temps of the coolant stay down pretty well though, just the motor was hot.

i waited about 10 minutes between a pull with the same map and it made 8 more hp.

there is definitely a lot more in it, the heads are fully done btw , i think the car is starving for air though now, i pulled out the k n n filter on back to back runs, on the second run with the filter out, it made 4 more hp with nothing done.

i will be changing it over to a map sensor and speed density so it puts the same fuel settings in every time and doest do a factory off set with the utec.

time to go play some more, i have to tune a few cars today, tomorrow and friday, so i wont have much more time with my car till this weekend

im taking donations on WILD cams and long tube headers where is tomei when i need them??

car weighs in at 2500 without me in it, thats still with stock doors, hood, rear hatch and all glass fully caged...

should go 11s all motor without a doubt

here is the same chart SAE, it puts down about 8 less hp.

i think i will go do some pulls this morning when its a bit colder.

its fun doing stuff that hasnt been done before..
The issue is mainly heat... the final cylinder pressure is about the same as an 8.5:1 running 11 lbs.

And nitrous comes out cold. So in this case, a big shot may help.

And I disagree about the cams. If he's spinning to 8500, the best case scenario I think would be cams that are conservative on the intake side and agressive on the exhaust side. That would keep VE down and help keep that engine in one piece.

Just one nerds opinion, though.
