How much do you guys think a build up like this would cost?
Do you guys think it much safer than goin FI?

Apples and Oranges, This is a fun/see what happens, build. 15:1 NA on any engine now days is pushin CR to the max, Couple points more, he could burn diesel fuel

ok guys, got the motor all back together and in the car. i really hope i dont have a problem with valves hitting the pistons, its going to be pretty close.

i am uploading pictures right now that i will add to the thread in a second.

i should have it started in a few hours but im sort of scared to see if it was a big waste of time

also, the supertech dual valve springs are just STUPID tight, i mean, you can barely spin the cam around by hand, yes one of them.

pictures in a minute!!

Did you use clay to measure for interference? Running HC pistons/ high lift cams it's a requirement.

I hope your just trying to be a little dramatic there. That would be the death of everything. Piston/electride/valve clearence is going to be X at start up, Y at operating temp, and if you dont have your numbers right ZZZZZZZonk at 6000 RPMs. This is a HUGE factor

as promised, here are a few from yesterday. car is a mess right now but getting detailed tomorrow if it starts up and runs ok....


thanks everyone!!!

i have done a lot of deleting on this motor, i only have the coolant lines coming from the radiator to the motor and back out to the radiator, ALL the other lines have been deleted. i took out the oil warmer/sandwich plate and am only running an alternator with nothing else, i just threw on stock headers for now and i will switch them out in a couple days (someone send me free headers!!) welded up all the coolant passages that werent needed as well...

if this motor can take my abuse for about a month at least, i am going to add the nitrous and my turbo 400 back on. then it should be pretty sick!!

here are the last two pics. update later on if it started or not..

Lookin good, just make sure you clay the piston/valve clearance. Im sure you already knew that, just dont wanna see it go boom.
