NA Build Inside....Soup to Nuts :)

My point is if Adam's dyno was done without corrections, he could be putting somewhere close to 100whp more than a stock VQ.

also, I was calculating a 15% drivetrain loss to get the 320-330.

my original one at 303.9 was on a Dyno Dynamics - my second dyno was at Turbo XS on their Dynapack, which my understanding, is reads pretty much exactly like AAM's Dynojet down the block. Perhaps next time I go down to TXS to viist Jermaine, I'll try to also do a few runs on AAMs Dynojet too just to confirm it for myself.
yeah, a dynapack is like a mustang dyno in that you can set it up to reflect just about anything. a 200whp car could put down 900, but at the same time a 1000whp car could put down 150, its all about how the thing is set up.
ive also heard/seen on dyno's that the turboxs dyno reflects dynojet numbers, its just set up to read that way. with the right parameters, a dynapack will read higher simply because its measured at the hubs, so you eliminate the energy lost in the wheels. not a huge difference, but you can see it. either way, thats not what this thread is for, so lets leave it to the NA build not the different types of dyno's available

People are way to hung up on dyno's and the numbers. The power curve you have is awesome it could be off 10-15hp and still be great. I know due to not having the portwork you have my build won't be as productive power wise. But who cares as long as I have a usable curve and a reliable build that will provide me with miles of smiles and hold up to some track abuse. I am still waiting for you to post the updated dyno charts from the retune to see where you made more power, not how much. Now if only I could get my machinist to finish my block and rotating assembly, seems like the better the machinist the slower they are. If you ever have your upper plenum off a pic would be very helpful to my home porting efforts.

unfortunately I never got the sheet from Jermaine. I'll drop him an email and see if he can find it for me...if I get it, I'll definitely post it

Awesome build Adam! That is one sweet ride and the dynoed curve is just great. I wish I had that type of cash and resources to create one iota of that hp, but alas, returning to college takes the priority at this time (though I am doing some bolt on mods and I really want to have the Kinetix manifold installed during the fall.
Keep up the great work! And do you have pictures of the UR pulley that you had to replace? I would love to see the keyway (since I am a CNC programmer).
I am subscribing to be kept updated (because I have just spent the last 2 hours reading every post)!

Well guys, I drove my car yesterday
Finally got everything buttoned up and drove the car home last night - felt good to be behind the wheel for the first time in 2 months. So far, so good, and we'll keep our eyes on things to make sure it remains in good working order.
We're still not sure what the net cause was, but I am going to send the old pulley back to UR this week so they can have a look at it.
