nope. still sounds and drives fast and loud. lol
it didnt make any noise when i left work, BUT i did hear a different noise for about a minute. sounded almost like an exhaust rattle, but idk where it was coming from. clutch noise? i might put it on the rack and take a peek tomorrow to see if i can pinpoint that cuz i never noticed it before.
this thing is gonna haunt me....i can feel it :/
when i first tore it apart
with ALL NEW timing chains, tensioners and guides!!!
oh yeah, and the 2 extra pieces i found on the oil strainer :/

Yeah it spun over smoothly when i first put the bottom end together. Idk what caused it but i dont really care. Lol. And there was no sign of any metal debris in the tensioner screens either.

well just check them out once you put the bottom end together and spint it over. but the pistons you're running dont hardly have a skirt so you shouldnt have a problem anyways.
and yes, it did it this morning again but it isnt super loud and bad sounding giving a weird idle for a few seconds like it was. just a lil rattle for a couple seconds and gone. but didnt do it the rest of the day. lol only thing left in the equation are the sprockets

Coupe, what oil filter are you using? I always get one with an anti-drain back valve to keep as much oil in the motor as I possibly can. I know its a longshot but I'm brainstorming here, I hate to see someone spend all that money and have problems

You have no choice with your crank
Oil squirters are there for a reason. Hopefully what you're hearing isn't the sound of something loose. Have you played with different oils yet? Not that it will solve what seems like a mechanical issue but might help pinpoint it

well its definitely a oil pressure related deal in the timing area. only thing original now are the vtc sprockets.
so far ive been running 5w30 conventional oil...changed it like 3-4 times since new with no debris or anything in the oil. im going to change it tuesday and put mobil1 5w30 in along with a mobil1 oil filter and see if there is any difference.
on another note, im considering getting rid of the car and picking up a y34 m45 now
