Smile My New 06 Touring Coupe

I just took delivery of a new 2006 Touring Coupe last Friday. Found this site this evening and hope to get to know Z owners from around the country. Our first road trip was to the Blue Ridge Parkway and it was a fantastic trip.

Do you always need to burn only premium fuel in the Z? My dealerhip service manager says no the manual says yes?????

Congrats and welcome! The manual is correct, the Z requires premium fuel. Lesser grades can be used in an emegency at the expense of power.

Congrats, and yes to the premium gas. Do not believe your service manager...he did not engineer the car. (Listen to the manual)

Welcome to the forum! There are excellent stickys to be found called 1)"Top 100 Questions" and 2)"350Zs use premium fuel". Might want to check those out before others flame. They are on the main 350z page. Good luck!!

+1 on the manual....just skip the daily starbucks and your wallet won't notice.

make sure to check out your local club and intro yourself.

I just bought mine. The previous owner said he was running 87. I accidentaly put in 87 (coming from an suv, thats what i was used to). I have now switched to 91 and it's staying that way, what's 5 cents more a gallon???!!

Welcome to the site!
5 cents a gallon equates to 1 less Starbucks Latte a week.
Someone once told me that and I laughed because its pretty accurate
