Now see if your under any warranty and keep and eye on you oil level. Your engine is known to have oil consumption issues.

 

Congrats! awesome purchase. But like the first response watch the oil consumption. This rev up motor has been known in some instances to have ring issues. There is a thread about peoples experiences.

Like you I just bought a used Z with the rev-up motor. Watch oil consumption. I'm considering taking it in to a dealer to have them do an oil consumption test, even though there is no evidence that there is a problem at this point (21k miles).

FWIW, I just started an oil consumption test at my local Nissan dealer. I normally do all my own oil changes, but I figured I'd bite the bullet to have the oil consumption test done. I'll take it back in a few months or a few thousand miles to have the level rechecked.

To the OP, you may want to consider doing the same thing unless you know that it had been done on your car already.
