This thread should be an inspiration to anyone that's had a slight ding in their Z. Considering you bought this one in a bit of a sad state. Really enjoying the progress. Keep up the good work.

Phenomenal work, I can't imagine how good it must feel to be able to look at how far it's come in person. Are you going to throw some tint on? I know you're not going to go too crazy with mods but I think some tint would flow well, that's a beautiful red and you have done a great job and probably inspired more than a few people on this board along the way.

It wont be legal until all the inspections are out of the way, which will sadly be about a month from now. The black is just a piece of tape, and its gone now. Thanks for the compliment on the Z platelet thing in the back!

Thanks a lot man! Yea I might tint the glass, im just gonna see how it goes driving it for a bit. The paint really came out well. Rarely does the paint match on the first mix, and rarely does it match perfectly, but it went very well. That was one plus of this project. But there were lots of small problems, lots of disassembling and assembling things that you would never think youd need to, just to get to another part. All that stuff was very time consuming. But Im really looking forward to getting this thing legalized and finally enjoying it!

When are you going to bring that baby to a Gateway Z Club meeting? I'm sure the club members would enjoy hearing your story of the restoration.
