New to me 04 350z Roadster
Hi all,
I just picked up a 2004 350z roadster touring. Picked it up for $12.5k. 54k miles, outside body in great condition. Interior was filthy but my wife and I cleaned it up. The leather seats are not in very good condition. Car came with Nismo cat back exhaust and cold air intake. Rims are Axis 19x8.5 front and 19x10.5 rear. Rear tires were nearly bald (he bought them used), fronts were okay. As part of negotiated deal, I am giving the seller back the tires that came with the car as soon as I replace them. Installed Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 XL 245/35ZR-19 fronts and 275/35ZR-19 rears.
Looking to replace the leather seats and looking for recommendations.
Looks like Katzkin and leatherseats.com are the 2 big players. Are there any others?
Thanks

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. You've got the two biggest vendors for replacement skins, but have you tried a leather treatment on the OEM seats? Also, don't forget to use a product like 303 fabric top protectant on your roof. High altitude exposure can really damage the material.

Hey, welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your new Roadster.
Regarding seats, a lot would depend on whether you were looking to replace like for like or are considering buckets?
I run Hankook V12's on my '04 Coupe and quite like them.

Buy the convertible top protectant as a kit packaged with the appropriate top cleaner (protectant won’t properly bond unless the top is well cleaned). 303 does a great job, but be sure to get the right one as they make two styles, one for fabric tops and one for vinyl finished tops. The Z has a vinyl top, but Robbins makes both vinyl and fabric replacement tops for it.
Thanks, I will get some picks posted up once I replace the leather seats. Should be a week or so, I hope.
I also noticed the leather seams at the 10:00 and 2:00 positions on the steering wheel are coming loose. What have others done to repair this?
