Welcome to the forum! The Z was my first manual as well. There are plenty of tricks on this forum that will help smooth it out. Good luck!

I feel you, im a very responsible person when it comes to things like that. After being in the military and all those training videos on safe driving lol but it isn't a joking matter.

Sweet ride, I learned manual on my Z as well couldn't even drive it home after I bought it off the guy haha. It's not the best car to start off with, but still managable. Good luck!

Haha I'm glad you asked. It was extremely frustrating for me at first, to say the least. I think the problem was how responsive the throttle was & also how high the engagement point was for the Z. I didn't have anyone that knew manual to teach me, so it took me a long time with a lot of research and practice. Heck, I still think I'm burning the clutch on take off at times. Your first obstacle is take off. Once you get a hang of that, you're golden (until you run into a hill).

Don't worry about it though, in a month or so it'll be second nature for you. Word of advice is that burning the clutch is ineveitable, whether you're experienced or not. That's the purpose of the clutch, after all. Just don't do it with high rpm or you'll need a new clutch very soon. Good luck man, and we're all here to help you along the way

I doubt you'll beat the Mustang at anything but looks and handling
