New owner, cluster problems

Default New owner, cluster problems

Hey guys, just picked up a 2003 350z twin turbo, something I didn't really expect to get but fortunately i did. When i got in i noticed my cluster gauge lights up like Christmas but none of my gauges work, no power to climate control or the radio (aftermarket), and my lights don't work on the oil gauge and voltage gauge. I've a couple threads it could be the abs sensor or something but iI didn't see if it would knock out the other gauges as well. So any insight would be very helpful, any advice on hard to do fixes would be appreciated, I'm really looking forward to getting her restored to excellent condition

Check your fuses.

Also - Check your grounds, and for moisture and/or corrosion within your IPDM. Try resetting the ECU as well, which in turn will reset the BCM.

So i finally got some time last night to pull the dash out and it turns out the a/c module is missing 😒

That'll do it! the white HVAC module and ribbon connector must be properly mounted or none of the dials or switches will function. Did you buy it this way?

Wow.. Look the car over more closely, and pay no attention to those snails because they can be very persuasive.

No doubt the car lot was questionable haha, i was actually looking for an old truck and ran across this, once i seen it, i knew i had to have it, no matter what condition, I'm good with my hands and i got time and money so i looked at it as a possible project depending on the repairs needed, last mileage on the gauge was at 143,000, i may have my hands full with this lil beast but it the end it'll be totally worth it.

hey, i hate to revive an old thread...but i was gutting my 350z for track use, pulled out the little white ac module and am now in the same boat. I tossed the white ac module before i had a chance to see that it broke my gauges, and ended up being SOL.

i've now bought the little white box ac module on ebay, but my gauges still don't work. is there a special trick, does it need to be registered on can bus, am i missing something?
