Question Buying 2006 350z

Picking up my first z Wednesday, It's a 2006 base model 5spd. Is there anything I should look out for? The exterior is insanely clean, interior is clean aswell, with the normal wear on the plastic bits, but nothing really stands as bad. Is there any small stuff i should take a detailed look at or anything of that nature?

Get the service records if they are available. That tells you if there are any problems with the car.

Pay a independent mechanic to do a full assessment of the Z. There's nothing we can tell you from behind a keyboard that a qualified tech can't find with a hands-on inspection.

If you got the 5-speed automatic transmission, then you don't have a Revup VQ35DE.

I agree with dkmura, have a professional look over the car. There's no telling how well maintained the vehicle is or isn't until you start peeling the layers back.

Common wear items are...
Suspension bushings (F-LCAs, Compression Rod, Diff, Balljoints, Sway bars), struts, *ALL* fluids, radiator, coolant hoses, thermostat, tires, power window motors & regulators, rear hatch struts, rear wheel bearings, brakes.....and others.

Cheers!

I'm betting the OP did that five years ago.

No worries @icer5160 , BTDT. 🤣🤡😆

At least you're not posting (much, unlike Heel, who enjoys trolling the troll) on the Zombie Merry Go Round thread where that poor car will never be "right".

Circle jerk? Dayam, man, at least I kept it G-rated calling it a Merry-Go-Round.

But... apt I'd say. Circling without ever finishing.
