Running a bit lean? I see you have a UTEC? Bad tuning?

That sucks.

I just bought my new efi wet nitrous kit by Holley. I think I got a pretty good deal for $560. I still have to buy some other goodies tho like a blanket, gauges, pods, remote opener, and purge. So the price will get up there quick. Im thinking a 75 shot, sound good? This will be my first nitrous install so I am having a friend work on it with me. He's been running nitrous for years and years from his talon, eclipse..now to his bmw. He's a good tuner also at the garage he works at. My first nitrous car..im dying for it to get here!

I work for an automotive wholesale parts warehouse that sells NGK.
The NGK rep and I checked and figured out that the 2-step colder then stock plug for the Z is an LFR7AIX.
It is only available in the Iridium version.
And because it doesn't have a -11 behind it, it means it comes pre-gapped at .031 instead of .043.

I am running the ZEX kit with purge and window switch at a 100HP shot and it works great.

whats the general consensus on the Zex wet kit for 350z. they advertise an electronic tps, fuel pressure safety sensor, fuel tap that doesnt cut into lines(good for those who want the car back at 'stock' if kit is removed, and other perks. was wondering is anyone had this particular kit installed?

Zex makes a great kit, but you are going to have to buy everything just like the NX kit...I personally would contact the guys from performance factory and ask they know the most about this thing...everything in your first post looked good, and i would go with NX over Zex using the UTEC because you dont need the zex built in TPS system which is its biggest draw

Yes I have the ZEX wet kit on my car. I didnt buy the whole kit through ZEX. I bought my fuel tap from another place. And some other stuff like bottle heater and pressure guage through ebay.

Dam if your paying that much to go NOS, why not save a little more and go Turbo? I mean Nos is nice but its only on demand, were turbo will always be there.

Default Boost and juice.

This is a total newbie question but I didn't do either on my previous tuner. I was wondering if it was safe to run a Turbonetics turbo and nitrous on a stock Z. I was thinking something like a 75 shot that would be used only on occasion. Thanks in advance.

Is it true that our injectors are too small for nitrous? I have a buddy of mine that works for nissan and his co-worker told me that i would mess up the injectors since they were too small no matter how small the shot. Can someone shine some light on this? Thanks in advance.

I'm running a 150 shot with stock injectors and fuel pump.

With a wet kit you will inject N2O and fuel from the nozzle, so thats where the added fuel comes from and then you can fine tune it useing a UTEC (or so on) to controll the injecters to add more fuel if needed to get your a/f where you want it.

Hope that makes sense

^^^2000 for full nitrous kit compared to 5k for turbo is a difference. And with nitrous you dont need tune unless you go over 75 shot as opposed to having to do a tune with a turbo no matter what. Plus its great for those who daily drive their z's in my opinion.

No matter what you need a bottle warmer when your psi goes down you have to bring it back up by warming the bottle to 900 to 1000 psi for the best run. If your bottle is below 800 psi your just wasting nos no performance. I run a zex system with the zex purge and love it.

yes...the utec has the ability to control the n20 solenoid. This will eliminate the need for a tps/window switch.
