Default Nitrous and the Tiptronic

I have a 2006 with the Tiptronic, which is the only part of the car that came with a factory warranty for 100,000 miles.
I was wondering if anyone has heard if it will hold up to the 150 shot or scatter.
I have multiple UTEC maps for 75, 100, 125, and 150.
But when we used the 150 shot during the tune, I thought it was a little hard on the tranny when it shifted.
I'm thinking of scrapping the 150 shot and only using the 125 at the strip, but I wanted some opinions from the Guru's here.

Thanks

Ive got a 6MT and i was advised to only go with a 100 shot with Utec so a 150 shot is probably out of the question unless you dont care if you motor blows after a few runs. No sarcasm. Dont really know how hard your planing on running it so that might be what your looking for?

i run a 125-150 shot on my 04 auto.. i mean hmmz.. it depends on what you want? you need to relearn the car for the nitrous. When im NA i shift right at redline and I get into redline like 300 or so rpms and then i drop higher into the next gear. If I shift around 400 rpms or so early of redline I can do the same with Nitrous without it bouncing off the gears. This is on a stock tranny. If you want to be able to shift at redline your probably gonna need a valve body upgrade.

Oh and I dont use utec or whatever... just play with the jet sizes and make sure you are nice and rich and making nice power... all depends on what you want and how safe you want to be I Guess? its been on for over 2 years so =P

Thanks for the comments.

What my tuner did was increased the rev limit to 7200 rpm in the UTEC.
Since this doesn't affect shifting, it will only work during manual shifting.
If your in Auto, the factory ECM takes over and it shifts at the standard 6600 rpm.

He's set the Window Switch to shut the nitrous off at 6600 rpm so that the last 600 rpm's is all motor when it shifts. So I'm trying to manually shift at 7000-7100 rpm to not hit the rev limit.
This only will work during manual shifting, but it made the shift a lot softer then before.
I'm only using the 150 shot on the track.
I'm going to run it next season and see how it does.

I know you mean well and all, but many people have run, and are running a 150shot with no problems. The only way to do this safefully IMO is with a UTEC. Jeremey has tuned a couple cars Im sure with a 150 shot. Its not really a big deal. A 100 shot doesnt even necessarily need a UTEC, as not much timing if any really needs to be pulled with only a 100 shot. If I were to run a 100 shot, I wouldnt spend the money on a UTEC.

So I'm assuming with UTEC installed in an 04 Maxima 4AT, the same issue will present itself - the ECU will not allow the car to shift at a modified UTEC RPM setting(7100)? This makes me sad. I believe then, that only a Technosquare reflash would take care of this?

Not sure about your car, but if it has a Tiptronic and you put it in D (Drive) and let the car shift on it's own, it will not shift at the UTEC set Rev-limit, it will shift at it's normal shift points.
But if you put it at manual mode, you can shift at whatever RPM you want, so you could shift at the 7100 or even higher until it reaches the set rev-limit and it starts sputtering.

That's horrible news. That means I need a technosquare reflash even with the Utec.
