Default High Mileage vs Nitrous

I am completely new to Nitrous. I have been doing a few hours of research on the forum and trying to pick up as much info as possible. I have just recently thought about doing a nitrous set up.

I did a search, but only 2 threads came up and it didnt really give me many answers.

My concern is, that my car has a lot of miles (88,000) ... I have been FI on the Stillen stage 3 since 55,000. I am getting ready to get rid of the Stillen kit and looking to jump into Nitrous..

Being that my car has so many miles, would my motor be able to handle a 100 shot? (I know Im jumping the gun saying 100, but I know eventually thats where I want to be at... so for discussion sake, Ill ask for advise on a 100 shot)

Yes, Im a newb to nitrous so please dont flame too much

Tuning is the key. Get a UTEC and spray 100 shot. If it is a good tune, it will hold together.

I remember Sharif mentioning taking apart a 100k mile engine for a build and he said that the internals were in excellent condition as I imagine yours would be as well. Stillen is a very easy on an engine, considering.

Yes, a lot of my research has been saying a good tune is very important. I am definately going to be doing a UTEC and a tune. As well as all of the other safety goodies that I can throw on.

My main concern was really that the internals would be able to hold with so many miles on them....

23,000 miles here. Have had a 75 shot since about 18,000.
Just bumped up to a 150 shot with all safety equipment, UTEC, and professional tune.

Stock block with Plenum Spacer, short ram cai, and UTEC.

I drag race (or used to) a whole lot and I'm at 83K miles with spray. My car seems to be fine.

Just start low and see how your car reacts to the initial shot, then as you bump it up, keep your eyes and ears peeled.
