Detroit Area Z List part 3
No OU for me tonight. I've been carrying around a blown tire and slightly bent wheel in the back of my jeep for the last 2 days. Finally got the new tire installed this afternoon. It balanced on the machine, so I'm bout to go throw it on the Z and take it for a spin. I'm dying to do more tuning.
Ok, so everyone is down for helping me with the stock cat-back this weekend.
Mike/h8bumps, Your the only guy with the jacks and jackstands
We could do it at your house or mine.
Obvious problems are either
1. moving the jacks and tools in a Z to my house
or
2. moving the stock exhaust system in a z to your house
Hmmmmmmm

Shifty, where do you live?
AJ was able to get his stock exhaust back in his car. Nick couldn't fit his cuz the stock exhaust won't fit in a roadster.
And, by the way, the new tire is all good. If you guys don't already know this (I didn't), at Discount Tire their standard warranty is included in the price of a tire. This means if you have a blowout, they will replace the tire, and price will be prorated on the amount of tread left on the blown-out tire. So, in my case, since my tires were only 2 months old, it cost me $0 for the tire, and $12.50 for mounting and balancing. Of course, you can always buy the free replacement certificate with a new tire, which eliminates the prorating.
Another plus for Discount Tire is that they will let you stand in the garage with them while they're mounting your tires.
Who's going to Milford tomorrow? I think I'll reflash my ECU tomorrow after work and head up there.

Mike,
I am all for driving your ride, so I will keep that secret to myself...hahahh
Put the Muffler, in the way back.
Take the stock midpipe, and Ypipe and put it in garbage bags and put it in the passenger seat, it will fit no prob....
I have to leave early if we do this on Sat, as I have to go to the Ann Arbor nissan Show

Now that I'm about 90% tuned with Osiris, I think it's time to get rid of the UTEC. I'll list it in the classifieds in the next day or two, but I'd prefer to sell it locally. PM me if interested -- I'd let it go for $650.
Speaking of stuff to sell, do you guys know anyone who plays Bass guitar and needs some equipment?
$1800 or best offer will get:
Barely used Ampeg SVT-4 Pro Amp (1600 watts)
Barely used Ampeg SVT610HLF Cabinet with 6 10" woofers (1200 watts)
Barely used Boss Chromatic TU-2 Tuner
(2) 20' Monster Cables
Road Ready Case for Amp
I bought this stuff a couple years ago when I was in a band, used for about 4 months, then sat in my basement after that. Never been abused or over-cranked. I'd personally like to sell locally to avoid shipping costs. If you guys know anyone, ask around, or i'll end up posting an ebay ad.

Well, Im happy with the outcome of the exhaust swap.
Thank You Mike and Aj for your help.
Here is a thread I started including a before and after videos with the exhaust sounds if anyone cares.

**FOR SALE**
Injen SES True Dual Exhaust.
It sounds great without any other exhaust mods.
I will have to give it a big thumbs down when in use with a full exhaust.

How's everything been goin with everyone lately? I've been having a white-knuckled time drivin the SS in this weather lately. Damn thing got sideways twice just tryin to get onto the freeway! It's certainly shocking me because i've never had this happen before.
Also, gotta take it in for warranty work, rear end is practically shot. Heavy grinding when reversing in a turning direction, and heavy moan when off throttle and turning. Way to go...this sucks..
Oh yeah, 6600 miles only. This thing is babied beyond belief. Except for that one time I raced the Bimmer 3series TT after the Milford meet lol.

Mike K-no prob man any time
It only took about an hour.
We are getting really good at workin on these things at this point...
Your exhaust is laid out in my garage, so it doesn't get wet.
You can leave it there for as long as you want man, I have room.
Mike H-you seem to have bad luck with cars man, or you can break anything, one of the two HAHAH
Woodward was a blast...I wanted one more run with that GTO...
