If you guys are up for springs we can tackle it.... I think they would do much more for the car than they do for the appearance of the basement.

I can't do it Saturday -- I have a family get-together. Sunday is a possibility, but I have softball sunday evening.

We might have to get our hands on a spring compressor for the front coils. What do you guys think? Try it Sunday or next weekend?

Can't go on Sunday
I have to work..GRRRR

Trust me, not happy about it
I really don't think you will need it for the fronts
If they were coil overs you would have to but, they are factory replacements...no biggy

I will be going to this next weekend.
NTCNA is going to bring some toys including there racecar
I am going to go up for it

Jessie will be there as well for the Race team
Rumor has it a new Nismo 350Z, and a turbo SER Versa (VERY COOL) will be up there too

Team,

Next Sat (8/4) at 4:30 pm in Ann Arbor there is a Z / Titan meet at a local Nissan Dealership.

Amoung other vehicles, we are planning on taking the team car to show / support.

It would be great if we could get a few people out there (with their team shirts on) to support.

This will be distributed via NTCNA communications, but I wanted to give the team a heads up.

Thanks,

I've always liked using a compressor for doing front springs on anything. Rears aren't usually as crammed in there. I've done the jack and crowbar method and after using a spring compressor I bought one!

From the sounds of it this Saturday or Sunday are no good for springs..... next weekend on Sunday may work (Saturday is definitely out though because my sister is coming in from Miami and it will be time to party). I've read on the forums that the front sprinps are much easier to do with a spring compressor, so it may be something we consider?

I am a fan of the breaker bar tactic
Jeff,
WE can just go to murrays and rent one for 10 bucks....
Its no biggy, all we need is an impact wrench adn ti will hold it, much easier that way

You can goto AutoZone to get the compressor for free rental. That is what we did a couple of years ago. Yes the rears are fairly simple.

If anyone is bored today and tomorrow, I want to put my stock cat back exhaust system on.

It wont take long, I just dont have jacks or jackstands.

If someone is up for the task give me a call, my girlfriend is out of town, so im devoting this weekend to manly stuff.

Im getting tired of the sound. Its cool to be loud when WOT.
This exhuast is just too loud for a DD. I have to baby the car on acceleration and shift at 3k so it is "quiet" .

But, im thinking of doing something else to the car.

Check it out.

LOL. Quiet daily driver, open the dumps and its loud as hell when I feel like messing with people.

Well, the Z is out of commission for a couple days... hit a MONSTER pothole on the way to work today. I had the pleasure of changing a tire on the shoulder of I75 during morning rush hour... A great compliment to the rock chip I received Friday evening.

Shifty, did you get the exhaust swapped?
