How hard did you hit the limiter, was it over, and over that could do it.

Damn I would just make a claim with your insurance for that much $$$

Hey guys just thought I'd share that I just got accepted into the University of Michigan for Masters in Mechanical Engineering (MSE)!! boo-yahh!!!!

I'll start classes part time in August while working full time. My company WAS providing full college reimbursement but pulled it this year cuz of the economy. Hopefully they'll bring it back next year.

Either way, I'm stoked!! I'll have to get all the racing out of me this summer because once I start, I'll probably become a hermit lol.

haha sweet. But make sure you do some research cuz I don't know too much about their exhaust setups. There's a huge thread on it though..

Also, steve what track pads would you recommend for non-brembo? I'm asking cuz I'm sure you've researched already lol.

Default non-brembo pads

I've been happy with my Project Mu b-force pads. They seem to be lasting forever - I guess my braking style improved from when I was using stock pads too.. I chose them since I use my car as a DD and track use... and they have a cool name.

I won't be buying new pads for my OEM brakes since my Brembo setup is almost complete. I'll be using Hawk dtc-70 pads in the front and Pfc-01 in the rear... got them for a great deal.

I saw your post in the vendor/brakes marketplace - I think you found them.

speaking of lots o'crap.. I'll probably have my non-brembo rotors off mid-april. $125 sound good? They were $400 new... and I have a little over 5000 miles on them.

Default shockwave

I did think this video does it justice.. You can't feel the vibration or hear the inside of the car rattling at high RPMs while driving.. I also never heard the rasp noise that you hear in the video - not sure if it is rasp or a leak.?

Anyhow - here's a taste. It's a 6mb file. Give it a sec to download. .WMV file

Personally I would go with

265/35
295/35

Steve's has 275 in front with no rub.
Dil has 295 in back with no rub

That thing will turn, and brake like you read about...

I'm running 18s though. 18x9.5 275/35 - no rub dropped little less than 1 inch in front. He's talkin 19s. It gets a bit arduous trying to find the right aspect-ratio combo with the staggered sets...tis another reason why i went with the square setup. Good luck man, sorry I can't really help.
