I am looking at buying a 2003 touring edition with about 32,000 miles on it from a family memeber. I took it for a test drive yesterday and noticed the grinding when shifting into 4th gear. At first I thought it was my shifting then after several trys i knew it was the trans. So who in the Detroit area has had to replace their tranny? Where did you take it? and did the dealer give you any problems, or did they replace it no questions asked? thanks for your help!

 

anyone elsewhere? i have read most of the trans problem thread, but any other info would help

No. They installed the Super Charger. Maybe thats why.

 

i took it Dick Scott, they were very cool, said it would be replaced under warranty. now i just have to hope the deal goes thru and i get the car!
