LMAO! I can't hide anything from you! I was trying to get a supercharger or single turbo but I shelved that idea for another year. I'm cautious of kits that are sold by members with 0 itrader and less than 100 posts. It also seems these kits are recycled over and over again. Lord knows how many cars they've been on.

Check out oakos.com. They are in Sterling Heights. If you call/email/talk to Dave or Bart you can pick up some Goodridge SS lines and the Motive bleeder for a good price, especially if you pay in cash! Thats how they prefer to do business, cash is king.

ok update on things:

If I decide to take a summer class, I might not be able to go down to Zdayz because they cram a whole 4 months of work into just 1.5 months (f'in crazy). And I'll have to miss a Friday class which will probably set me back A LOT.

If I don't take it though, I'll get set back another semester overall for my degree.....

Zdayz or school.......decisions decisions...........

btw, just confirmed there will be an airstrip event on Thursday (10 am - 4pm)

So what about the caravan? Leave wed. night, stop in cinci, and continue thurs morning?

You guys are welcome to borrow the bleeder anytime. Now, I am also interested in getting SS lines. Can you please help me with that? I don't even know what to get.

As I stated above, I have the Goodridge lines on my car and you can get them for a good deal from the place I mentioned too.

As far as SS lines go, you want to buy lines that are fitted specifically for your car. Coming from the Subaru community some folks would experience issues with the fitment of lines (to short or to long) from some well know big name manufacturers. Goodridge was not one of those. So thats why I bought them for my Z and they fit great and work just as well.

Yeah I got a quote from Oakos for the goodrich lines, it was about $185. I'm just gonna pick up some stoptech ones from Injected when I go for my tune since they're a bit cheaper and should be just as good quality.

Goodrich is very good. Do the StopTechs only work with StopTech calipers?
I'll probably use Goodrich when it comes time.

BTW: Updates in the ZdayZ threads.

Hendersonville, NC is 80 miles from ZdayZ. Past Asheville. This is where the airstrip is located. Cincy is not the mid point anymore. I recommend making the whole trip on Wednesday. We can see if Fontana Village has the unit available for Wed night. This gives us a chance to rest the cars overnight, shed the weight of luggage and spare tires, seats, girlfriends, etc. Then make the two hour drive to Henderson from Fontana on Thursday am.

I'm game for leaving Wednesday. Decided not to take summer classes at all since there's a good chance Sarah is going to Japan for a whole year in Sept. So I'm gonna try to spend more time with her b4 she leaves (after ZdayZ lol)

And the stoptech lines work for the 03-05 non-brembo calipers. Goodridge was like $40 more

Lee where are you ordering your stuff? Just curious cuz I've researched enough to know where's cheap lol.

And what brands/type are you going with for each?

Forged for the Carbotech XP10 (fr) /XP8 (r) pads $353.84 (shipped)
GT Motoring for the SS lines Challenge brand $105 (shipped)
Amazon for Motul RB600 $14.99/.5L (needs a little over 1L they say) not sure on shipping price yet.

Hmmm......I got my carbotech's for $298 shipped directly from Carbotech. I did use my SCCA discount though ( I can probably do that for you if you'd like too)

Never heard of those SS lines, are they good brand?

And will you need a power bleeder? Or will the 350Z power bleeder work for the 370?

Forged is $16 cheaper than direct for fronts and $13 cheaper for the rear. How much was Carbotech's shipping charge? $30 seems high as heck to me.

A couple guys with time attack cars are using the Challenge lines... I figure if it's good enough for them it's probably good enough for me... I'm not sure if they have parts for the 350 or if they just do the 370.

Power bleeders are universal aren't they? It's actually tempting to buy one since they're only about $50!

I would prefer Thursday myself. That gives me one less day I have to pretend to work or just take off altogether.

I'm stuck in the middle on this one. I really want everyone to attend. Trust me, this IS the event to go to.

It does not matter to me at all. I took the whole week off so I can do last minute preps and such. The Airstrip event is a bit out of the way but I hear it's cool to see. I do not plan to run in it. I just wanted to watch and film some of it.

The airstrip event starts at 10am and runs to 4pm. It is 80 miles EAST of ZdayZ so it will make a longer drive for us. Rob, were you planning to run? I think it's $120 to enter your car. For anyone who is entering, I recommend you make the drive all the way down on Wednesday. Get a hotel room in the area of the strip so you and your car are rested before pushing the limit.

If everyone just wants to catch an hour or two of the event, how about we try to arrive there around 2pm?

So this gives us a couple options:
1) Leave Michigan around 5pm on Wednesday. We can drive to Kentucky (Cincy area) and stop for the night. I recommend stopping at Erlanger, KY. There is a Holiday Inn off I275 / I75 which has a well huge lit parking lot, security, bar and restaurant. No worrys about the cars being messed with. Get up and leave by 7am and arrive at Henderson by 1 or 2pm depending if we stop for lunch.

2) Get up VERY early on Thursday morning and leave around 4am and drive straight to Hendersonville.

3) Skip the airstrip event and go straight to ZdayZ.

Before you quickly choose 3, the route going to Hendersonville and back to ZdayZ is breathtaking. Definately have cameras available. I am assuming I40 between Knoxville and Asheville will be open. Last month, it was closed due to a house sized boulder sliding down the hill.

Rob if you're running the event, you could go ahead of us and then we caravan to ZdayZ together.

Can we come to an agreement so no one drops out?

No I don't plan on running in the airstrip event. I just really wanted to catch it, or a part of it just to see all the high hp cars everybody talks about all the time on the forums.

I like option 1, that'll make the drive easier and help me save some more vac days.

Option 2 is definitely not fun lol.

I'm willing to do option 3 if that's the majority vote. Going down by caravan is what makes ZdayZ fun!
