Question New York attraction?

I'll go to NY for a few days soon. I plan to visit most major attraction in NY. To which area should i book my hotel?

Downtown - SoHo - Financial District
Midtown East
Midtown South
Midtown West
Upper East Side
Upper Midtown - Central Park South
Upper West Side

Which area will be the central access? Thanks

Niagara Falls is a roadtrip from NYC. It's like 450 miles up by the Canadian boarder. Jet Blue into Buffalo airport and rent a car will get you there. The Canadian boarder is right up there to on the otherside of the falls. All you had to do was google it or are you looking for a tour guide here .... lol j/k

How long are you visiting for ?
When are you planning to visit the Big Apple ?
What are your interests ?
Where are you specificly staying ?

Not knowing what you are looking to do I'd say Times Square and then branch out from there. Rudy got it all cleaned up years ago.

If you are staying in NYC ( Manhattan ) like was said before, forget the rental, go with taxis, buses and the subway will getcha around, but this time of year the subways are freakin hot hot man. Oh yeah, there is always walking which will give you the flavor of New York, long as it's not too far. You might want to stay above ground getting around.

I'd stay in midtown. Lots of stuff to do there. Times Square, Empires State, and you can just take a cab to downtown and back. Screw the subway...you'll sweat your nuts off this time of year. Midtown is more touristy, while downtown is more beatnik.

You can forget about Niagra that is like forever away from the city.
