Snow in NE Philly....Had to drive the Z home from work...
Well this morning it wasn't that bad when I went to work. I figured we'd get a little snow...I was wrong. I left work at 3:00 and what normally takes me 30 min took me 90 minutes. I went 20 MPH the whole way home. Then I couldn't even make it up my driveway. I spent another 30 min tring to get running starts up the hill, with no luck I gave up and backed it in the grass.

Word, same thing happened to me except for the driveway business. My 7 minute drive home took about 20. Given the crap-*** road conditions I was happy to drive 25 mph the whole way home. Even with my snow tires I was having trouble hooking up in some spots, especially when I had to stop and then start out in 1st gear. This ice is bogus, I thought it was going to be an early spring!

I have BFG KDW 2's. Talk about the opposite of snow tires...but I made it home safe w/o a scratch. Next year I hope to have a new set of wheels, and keep the OEM's with Snow Tires that way I can just swap them out.

lawl. I hit the GSP and went 25mph then entire way. My 30 minute trip took 1 hour 15 minutes. I had no choice. I was waiting for my mom to come home so I could take her max (which is WORSE than my Z in the snow) and she rear ended someone.. So..i left in my Z.
It was kinda fun though. With all season tires, i don't get stuck so its kinda fun to drift around corners haha. The scariest part is changing lanes because the snow piles inbetween lanes, and if you change lanes, you have to go through the pile at 30 mph.

My usual 30 minutes took over 1.5 hours - more because of traffic thatn the snow. Didn't get stuck at all - I have Dunlap M3s on my stock rims. Slid a bit going up the driveway, but no problems on the roads.

I don't think I have ever been so scared driving in the snow not to mention that my rear tires have about 25% tread left. It was something I don't want to do again w/o snow tires. Can you buy studded tires for the Z?

wow wow, you are lucky as hell man. Im right off city line so im in the area and its nasty out there. last weekend i switched my snow tires/wheels off to my OEMs since it was so nice out. Definitly didnt anticipate this and didnt feel like changing them out last night so I called out of work today. Im tired of this winter already.

I thought the snow storm we had in mid-February would be the end of it. Nope. Then i thought the storm we had last week would be the end of it. NOPE. Hopefully i won't be wrong for the 3rd time. F'in snow.

I went into work at 8 AM which is earlier than normal, hoping I could get out early because of the snow that was coming. I left aroudn 12, so only half a day but my boss wasn't about to tell me I couldn't go home.
Normally takes me around 25-30 minutes, took me just a little over an hour. 35 MPH on the highway and 17-25 MPH on every other road. I even saw an "abandoned" Redline Z parked on the side of the highway.
I had snow tires, so probably could have made it fast than I did -- but I didn't want to test it. Z and myself got home in one piece without a scratch. Blizzaks FTW!!!
