Default American Le Mans/Speed Touring Laguna-Seca.

I know it is early, but....American Le Mans and Speed Touring series race is ending at Laguna-Seca October 17-19. I just wanted to know if anybody is interested meeting at Laguna-Seca or who is already going. Tickets and info at www.laguna-seca.com. Hotel rooms are hard to come by in Monterey but, being at this race is well worth it.

New for 2008 ALMS the New BMW M3 will be there.
I will be down there for 3 days but I will spend all day Saturday ( American Le Mans Series Race ) at the track.

Guess nobody is interested or I posted to early.EDIT There is going to be a Corvette corral, Porsche corral and a Mazda corral. Maybe next year the Z community can represent @ Laguna-Seca.

Thanks for replying, and yes it is an experience to see many different types of road racing. Speed touring, Star Mazda and American Le Mans. Plus there is a European style beer garden and many different types of food at the race besides hotdogs and hamburgers. It would be nice to get some Z's represented there too.

I like the Le mans. But Laguna is a pita to take pictures unless you have media pass. The only good picture that everyone have is at the corkscrew. Sears point is a better place for pictures. Didn't follow the race this year. Is Lambo and Aston still racing?

I believe Aston is still racing against the Corvettes I do not know about the Lambos' though.
All my experiences at Laguna have been great. The food, the weather and of course getting close to the pits and seeing the cars get ready to tear up the track. Plus I like seeing the Audi TDI take the Corkscrew.

Yeah I will leave on the 19th of OCt hopefully by 8am maybe earlier, gotta take the dog to the puppy hotel...yeah hotels are a pain in the **** to get..especially around this race. The closest would be Salinas or Carmel if Monterey is booked up for hotels. I will be at the race hopefully allday Friday and part of Saturday. Good luck on the Hotel situation..

Yeah, I understand that Acura is sponsoring the NSXCA this year at this event.
There are over 100 NSX registered for this event and will have their own corral area.

Should get ZONC involved on this event. They usually do this type of events.

That sounds cool,..if there is not much support this year maybe next year I could work with someone in the community and we could have a Z/Nissan corral.

wrong, I went last year for the first time and I got decent shots out of a crappy camera. just look around for good spots. I cant go this year, I will be in VA but it was fun last year.Keep in mind these were with a cheap 5mp $100 camera but it gives you a idea of where you can get decent shots from at least at the front of the track, I never made it around that day. I ended up with a good 200 pics in one day.

my fiance was cunninghams flag girl too, we stole there realtime acura shirt

accident on the first turn, didn't know it happend till I looked at the screen and saw I got it, I had a good 3 sec shutter time.

The first turn on the outside has a good opening, you have to crop out the fence but I did good with crappy camera for a spectator.

Thanks for posting those pics...I thought Laguna-Seca always had great spectator views! Especially at the Corkscrew.

I know, but people can still take pics @ the cork screw, you just have to walk up a hill behind turn 4.
