Yeah I can always just do the fun run, but I think they are at the very end, which kinda sucks. There's really no best way for me to do it. Only good part about OSP was that ntrinsik in his G35 ran at the same time.

Not FUN RUNS, but run in the FUN class which doesn't count for points

Correct. You can arrive in the am and run in whatever group you want. This isn't always bests of UFO scheduling, but they have no solution to it at the time being. You can also email Peggy and request running "out of class" (WRG class), and she'd likely ok you running OSP in the earlier session (since, honestly, it doesn't really matter). I have run WRG for points on select occasions, and as long as you don't abuse it, she is ok with it. Their motto is to buck the SCCA system and allow some flexibility to keep it FUN.

As a matter of fact, I have my LM autox that same Sunday. I'm in RG5 / working 6. I may not get there in time for the meeting and RG5, so she has OK'd me for this time to arrive and drive. I will try to make it in time, still, but depending on how many people show up for RG1-4, I may be late. I should get there 1/1:30 from my autox in Sunnyvale. Hoosiers on / Hoosiers off / drive to Marina / Hoosiers on / Hoosiers off.

That's a good idea Scott, I may just email her and see if I can run early on my way down to LA.

I just want to run in the dry at least once, and this will be the last one I can do until next September. Hopefully I can run at home in the summer.

There is a drift event this Saturday at Great America. I don't know the group, but I was invited by Patrick so I could ask.

UFO allows some drifting though, but if you spin (three?) times, you have to stop drifting and finish your lap rather than hold everyone else up.

Dont let the EVo guy find out! LOL!

Yeah come and keep me company in ASP! I had choice of OSP, SM2 and ASP after the Protest nby the class leading EVO. I went for what I thought would be toughest class based on times. EVO was usually a second faster than fastest ASP car. Honestly I thought BSP would be toughest class thats why I asked Peggy originally if it would be OK to run the 370 there and she had approved it. But then I beat the guy who was supposed to be unbeatable and he went and complained to her LOL!

I'd go for OPS and run against the Miatas. That would look the funniest at least!

Oh yeah, Challenger was a boat! This was almost two years ago, right when they came out. The driver looked like some rock star, like Mick Jagger. It was hilarious.

I wanted to run SCCA and UFO this weekend, but it's not looking like I'll have the suspension done in time

Bummer. I'm gonna have to find a raincoat for Saturday. Hopefully I'll have some dry weather after work Thursday or Friday so I can swap wheels..

G. The M's got a ways to go still. Coilovers I purchased might not be ready til end of April.. Still need to take a weekend or two to replace: timing belt, water pump, belts, hoses, radiator, bushings for front/rear control arms.

Come on, Chris. You gotta put the hammer down and get it done!

You get any clarification from SFR SCCA on the UCA's?

Not sure what you mean? If you mean can I get approval to run non-legal ones in BSP? I don't have any intention of that. I'm building the car for National competition, not local, so everything needs to be by the book.

I meant to say....did you appeal for clarification on what is or is not legal? The ones I use are most definitely not legal for Nat comp, but have been cleared for regional play by WDCR. I am just curious what route you are thinking of going....as I will probably follow your lead.

Also, Chris, I was very, very bored at work today and going through the 350z to ESP thread on SCCA......and thought it was interesting that there is no comment regarding the V6 genesis. It is arguable the most similar car to ours and it is already in F-stock (...and ESP?). Granted it is a bit heavier......but it hasn't made any impact on the current state of F-stock and ESP.
