NorCal Autocross
Wet wet wet.... we both gambled wrong and stuck with rcomps. Thank u to grant for helping me put the street tires on for my last run.
Nismo was weighed, will let Grant report results. I will weigh mine tomorrow

Well day one was interesting? Chris and I made call to run slicks as it stopped raining and course was drying out. However we had major delays which allowed cold rain (40 degrees) to fall just as we started.
I was Zed sledding on my new Hoosiers! Nothing like fresh Hoosiers on cold wet surface. I spun and overshot turns all 3 runs. Chris went to streets his 3 run and took 5 or 6 seconds off his times on slicks!
Just to prove I'm a bit of a nut I drove home on a6s. Oppps it was snowing! Whoo hooo! Actually just light dusting on the road and tires did fine.
Tororrow should be a much better day! I still had fun just can do without the cold and wet.

3260 lbs with 15 gallons of fuel and my helmet in the car. Not as bad as I thought it would be. 53% front and 47% rear weight dist.
I need to figure out how to fix the fuel starve issue on 370z so I don't need to have 15 gallons in the tank. I could easily lose 60-70 lbs of fuel weight if I could run a few gallons.

I use SS Porsche GT3 guys as my benchmark. Yesterday they slaughtered me by more than 5 seconds today I was within about 3.
Chris and I had our fastest runs on third try. He got me by a few tenths.
I know for me I need to change stock springs, dampers and sway bars. Aside from slight bump in power and and OS Giken LSD my car is pretty much stock. its not terrible but it sits too high and suspension tends to lurch a bit when I make fast transitions. It doesn't smoothly transition, it sort of uloads and loads in a nonlinear way that good dampers and springs will eliminate.
I'm really hoping I get good news on the classing of my 370 Nismo because no way will this car ever be competitive in ASP. If I don't get good news I may just throw a blower on it and go to SSM.
I weighed today, 3062lbs.

Results posted. Actually my scratch time was better than I thought compared to others. Right in there with a couple GT3's, Cayman S and BSP M3. Still almost dead last with ASP pax. Man SFR indexed class is not for the feeble. There is some driving talent in that class.

I'm not very good at following through on that kind of stuff. My co driver in San Diego will likely want to video so I will have something in April.
My "snow cam" did grab this picture Saturday afternoon on the road to my house in the Santa Cruz mountains. Note this was taken only 4 miles from the Pacific ocean in Central California at an elevation of about 1500 feet! Should give you a sense how cold it was Saturday at our event which was about 30 miles from where I snapped this picture.
