NorCal Autocross
Autocrossing in temps of 32-33 degrees is not fun. That said I beat out Lee P in Strano's mustang by almost a full second for quickest raw time in a "car"....shifter carts/D-mods had us beat, though. It was a nice 75-80 second Lee P classic course.....great fun.
Z stuff was quiet this weekend, minus a nice drive in the ZR, as we spent some time at Sears Point for the 24 Hours of Lemons.
Went and played with LPR PCA at Marina and had beautiful day. But I broke my car! LOL!
Incredibly fast course. They had a straight that I was doing 80 MPH in 3rd gear!
The bad news is I'm a pretty aggressive braker and I may have stomped too hard and discovered a weakness in the 370Z. I stretched the brake pedal return spring and that in turn made sensor think brakes where on which put car in limp mode. End of day for me as I couldn't figure out the issue until this morning.
The new coil-overs are awesome. I think they are a tad stiff in the front for AX. 1000 lb springs in front and 550 LB rears. I'm thinking 900 front and 600 rear will work better as dual purpose AX/Track setup. Will need to back off that for AXing. I was about 2 seconds off National Level SS GT3 car and driver that was running Hoosiers. My car was o street tire setup so I think on Hoosiers and 18 inch wheels the car may work OK. Will have fun playing in San Diego for sure!
I hear the BSP Boxster broke this weekend too. Stripped all teeth off pinion gear.
Scott, Did you see the Teletubbies? I hear they did well.

We can at least have our own little Z car race! Should be tons of fun. Evan is pretty quick so we will see how he adapts to my car.
I just got confirmation this weekend that I will get to co-drive my old FP Boxster at nationals this year. So I will have my AX ride set for my first ever Nationals event. I'm really stoked about that as I dont think I'm going to make my Z competitive in BSP by that time.
