^ lol no they're 265/285 on a 9.5/10.5 i meant the tire not the size.

What do you guys think about 255/40/17 RS3s on some 17x9.5 RPF1s or 17x10 FN01RC?
$125.00 a tire seems way better then around $263 a tire or whatever 285 RS3s are.

If I don't end up selling my OEM wheels or being able to trade them for whatever reason I might just do a 245/40 setup on those cause that's still like $550 or so cheaper. Haven't decided yet.

That seems like a great price on those RS3s.. 225/45/15s are $102 or so each.

Yeah, 255/40/17 RS3s are $125 a tire, which is EXACTLY why I want to get some FN01RC or RPF1s in 17s

You want my 17" RPf1's? As of tomorrow I don't really need them. Very minor rash due to hit and run and a few autox/dropped socket nicks.

After much research, I wasn't going to spend money on anything less than Koni, Bilstein, or Ohlins. And those were the cheaper brands. You can get Truechoice Koni Phase II for 1600, basically Koni SA-Eibach Coilovers. The sport shocks are around $900 for a set anyway. Phase 3 with DA's has got to be the lowest priced best dampened coilover available at $2300.

I wanna make out my driving on my current setup before I look into really good suspension but those will be on my mind when I get to that point.

+ I wanna get a LSD before any other "big" mod

Honestly, I think your car is set up just fine for your experience level (even stock is completely fine). I'd take any money that you had socked for mods and put it towards driving at every event that you can; both autox and track. Seat time, seat time, seat time.

That's exactly what you need, dont worry about the car being fast hombre make yourself faster. As each part holds you back then upgrade it.

I've had 2 Z's and 3 SX's that never saw one Autox or track day because I just had to "finish" the car first. I wasn't gonna touch this Z but I went through a 1/3 life crisis last year, ok this year too.

SE, when you're ready for diff and suspenion I'll let you co-drive mine at autox since you were looking at the same stuff I have.

+1

I plan on swapping my wheels out next time and getting some better tires and brake pads, otherwise I felt the stock shocks were holding up fine. I just have hotchkis springs and sways on the car and had pretty neutral steering. I may even be able to get another event out of my T1R's.

On another note, you guys seen any Tesla roadsters at the track?

Bay Area is home to a lot of them (HQ is in Palo Alto) but their owners treat them like this:
Norcal Track Days-mpvms.jpg

Also not sure how much track time you would actually get with one.
