Under 210 with boost and track is rather surprising. Any fans or ducts?

No, it hasn't upset the car. It flexes when it touches. Don't worry about it.

No fans or ducts. Just a simple cooler mounted underneath my crash bar, next to my intercooler. Who knows, maybe my oil temp gauge is way off...

Maybe he used the filter sandwhich like I did with my car?

Awesome pics, Anthony! Maybe we need to hire you for the next track event (until the MiataR is ready!)

Need some advice guys. Getting a "performance oriented" alignment tomorrow, guy asked me if I want toe at 0 or out slightly (I guess for better handling) and do I want my caster touched?

Any input?

^from my understanding u want toe in for better cornering I thought...toe out will increase oversteer

then again I may be wrong...correct me if I'm wrong

from my understanding; toe in is for better traction in a straight line but making handling a tid bit worse. Toe out makes handling better but makes steering lighter feeling and more nimble but for street driving youre always fighting with your wheel and decreases straight line grip..

I could be wrong, my first time getting a "performance" alignment, thats why im asking.

I'd do 0 toe up front and about .04 toe-in (per side) for the rear. I run some toe-out in the front, but that's just my preference.

is it really annoying to drive when youre not racing? ive had 3 people tell me today im gonna hate street driving with toe out and one person tell me 0 toe is better then toe out cause toe out makes steering too light to control properly.

would toe out rear make it feel more like the rear wheels are turning and not the fronts (sorry, thats a really stupid question )

its a 4 wheel alignment so this is meant for F/R

At your experience level and the few events you drive at, I would honestly keep within factory specs, including as-close-to-zero toe all around. Work on your driving first - you won't notice if you have 0 toe versus .04 toe for awhile.

co-signed

SE5spd, like mentioned until you gain a little more experience and comfort with your car, id stay away from toe...adjust your camber and caster if you feel the need, but toe can drastically change the whole feel of the car if you go overboard...its all trial and error so you dont want to go in too aggressive and be stuck with those specs for the rest of the day...going 0 toe on the rack will toe out a little anyway on the road, so see how you like that first...

in terms of street, its not as annoying as people make it out to be or at all...something tells me they are not in sync with their cars yet if a little toe here or there can make them lose control...

anyone going tomorrow with NCRC? cant wait!!!

PM me details please??

I wish I could go Friday but I'll be in LA, I think I'm going 10/7, if not FOR SURE 11/14..

He ended up doing super slight toe in he said he felt it was better for me that way, he also gave me some more negative camber.
