I think I heard the tires bark a few times when you downshifted. If that's true, you may want to consider practicing some heel/toe, as it may seriously upset the car one day.

@1:43 - two hands on the wheel, especially when going over the hill!

@2:45 - likely obvious, but too fast in and uncontrolled exit causing the car to oversteer.

@3:47 - I noticed many laps that you are not tracking all the way out of T13. Get on the gas early, and let your momentum carry you out there.

@3:58 - WTF was that car? I saw you gave him the point-by, but I didn't see either of the cars in front of him give one. Was this group open passing w/o point-by? The passing of the second two cars looked unsafe to me.

@4:38 - exit of T9 needs some work.

I sure hope they meat-balled that MR2, or whatever that smokey thing was.
Many thanks on those pointers Scott. I'm not very consistent on the back turns. I think its because I'm still trying to hone the entry speeds, but I'll try to use more momementum next time. I be working on those turns.

And you're right about the tire chirps. A few times I missed the heal toe. The pedal comes out of the floor so I have to hit the top of the pedal to get a good blip. But kind of hard to do as the brake pedal sits low. Still working on it.

I need to get you or another instructor to ride with me. I know getting video critiques isnt enough.

Thanks for this pointer Pat. I know I should be grabbing the sides of wheel but by bad habbit I'm at 10/2 or higher. I need to remember fixing this next time. And ya, I'm trying not to look at the clock and focus on the lines and techniques.

The forecast for tomorrow is looking good, the last of the showers should clear out after the first session, if not earlier. Check out the interactive weather map:
http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxM...ation=USCA1244
Once that last storm moves through, there is no further precipitation.

It was a great show as always. Patrick had lots of Zs showing the way around the track, and we had some great times. It did rain a bit, but it was good to get more practice in the wet. Here are Patrick and me with some side-by-side passing action.

It runs well, but it's way too stiff to run in the wet like that. I did not make real-time adjustments though, as it was teeming rain. The V710 tires didn't help either. I drove the 370 or a friend's 11' WRX most of the time, both of which were WAY faster and I was able to push the cars to get a better feel for the limits in the rain.

The track car also has the ABS disengaged, which I'm not excited about at this point of my "racing career". I'll get that fixed, but hope there aren't any roadblocks since it's a rev-up engine in an 03' vehicle given the electronic changes.

I didn't take any, including my little spin. I don't know if Patrick did, and I saw him take a slow-but-muddy spin in the afternoon. Good times.
