Bracketeer is a front-end GUI for Enfuse. Enfuse is a command-line freeware utility which uses multiple exposures of a scene (bracketed exposures) and merges them together to form a uniformly lit scene. It is similar to tonemapping with an HDR image except that no HDR image is ever created, and there is no ghosting. It works with any kind of bracketed image set, not just panoramic equirectangular images. Bracketeer can even auto-align hand-held shots! The results are almost always much better than anything that can be achieved with Photoshop's HDR Tone Mapping.

I'm wondering if the software will produce images without the haloing effects that are created in Photomatix HDRI's.

Here are a few samples I just made with just 1 RAW image each & created duplicate files with different exposure levels. I also used Bracketeer to blend these images so according to them, these are not HDRI's. It's much faster than Photomatix & the results are just as good if not better. I cheated & used a screen capture tool to get the files because the Bracketeer demo will not create a file of the final image.
No critiques on these samples, please. I just wanted to see what Bracketeer was capable of doing.
This image was created with multiple exposure shots on the camera. Not much difference from the above pics that were generated from 1 RAW file each.

NICE!! Man those colors are blinding! I love em! It seems alot cleaner than Photomatix to be honest with ya. I will have to play with this myself to see what i prefer to use. Nice pics though i enjoys thems. Oh yeah HOORAY for RAW! woo woo lol
