What benefits (if any) would I get by installing a Haltech? Haltech allows complete control over fuel, ignition and cam timing. Additionally it has advanced features like bank-specific o2 correction to achieve proper air/fuel ratio while idling/cruising, speed-based boost control, etc. The interface is unlocked to the end user, and comes with a standard USB cable for connectivity. With a proper tune, you can maximize horsepower and safety!

My main issues are no traction in low gears and exhaust smell (especially at idle). Traction can be helped with the boost-by-speed feature. Fuel smell at idle could be a few things, such as exhaust leak or from removed cats. Assuming it is from a poor tune (too rich), that would be fixed by Haltech with a tune.

Haltech warranty period? 1 year against defect
Transferable warranty? Yes

Installation cost with tuning? Standard install and tune is $695. Add-on's are additional of course.

Thanks for your help.
Answers above in bold.

The truth is that my chargers were upgraded by CompTurbo. They never produced any boost so engine run fine but we had to stop and the turbos looked like crap. I had them examined buy a specialist here and they died since they had put a compressor wheels that are whey to big for the hot part, that was untouched. Moreover they were completely unbalanced so they broke down before they ever produced any boost
I now have to get turbos that are non-fake. I try now to get Greddy 20G's ASAP. Will update when I got turbos and tuned

Has anyone set up the long term fuel trims with the haltech yet? If so, what settings are being used?

I have the same problem. I was running 1.07.4 for a couple of days and everything was fine. Now today only a couple of the gauges on my pages display data, the others are just locked up. I can datalog just fine, but the pages are pretty useless now. I tried re-installing 1.07.4 but it didn't make a difference. I guess I will downgrade to ecu manager 1.06?

Nevermind - I restarted the laptop and it seems to be working again. I thought I tried that already but I guess not!

Glad to hear it was that simple for you.

captj3, I played with long term trims when it was first introduced, but didn't see the need. A good tune is required for the long term trims to work best, and with closed loop o2 control enabled on a good tune...

For my Precision 1600cc injectors that is supposed to be low impedance and peak and hold I really must be absolutely sure what settings to use in the Haltech. 1-3 ohm or 4-16 ohm??? When I measure them I get 5 ohm... Im going to tune engine tomorrow.

I am using 1-3ohm for our 160# injectors, confirmed by testing the injector. I find it odd that you are seeing 5ohms - I can test again tomorrow.

I searched the web for the stamped number, 0280150842, and the it confirmed my result. It's a 4,8 ohm injector. I guess it must be the same as you use since I purchased them form Injected Performance.
BTW could the use of this "non-low impedance" 1600cc injector cause problem, like miss firing?

I really need a RPM signal. Is there any way of getting that out of the Haltech?

For what purpose? It is delivered to stock tach via CAN, and the Haltech also outputs it via CAN to accessories such as Racepak or AIM dash.

Consider using ignition output, as I see the software allows you to set number of cylinders. Set up same as if Haltech was not on the car.

This is lil weird question

Does the haltech make adjustment to individual cylinders?

Lets say that you want to decrease the timing in one cylinder, and keep the rest as they are. Is it possible?

I hope I make sense

Yes, there are 6 fuel trim tables and 6 ignition trim tables, up to 8x8 each. You can enable/disable these trim tables in Main Setup under "Trim Tables".

Unless you have a way to monitor each cylinder (Reading plugs, individual EGTs, etc), then you will probably want to make adjustments on a bank-by-bank basis (cyl 1-3-5, 2-4-6).

Here is a sample shot of Cylinder 1 Ignition Trim table,

how do you set your load-fuel column to greater than 43.5psi?
I wanna control fueling to 50psi.
