After we have some fun with the stock block, we will be installing our 4.5L stroker and seeing what we can do on that, 1000rwhp street car anyone?

I think there are some people that will not want to purchase a skyline, on the contrary there will be a lot of G37s, this car was born to be modified (even more so than the Z/G35)

Thanks. A 200whp increase of capability on a stock VHR block versus the old DE block is significant.

I look forward to future updates on your build and the end results!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 35HR and 37VHR blocks are probably fairly similar.

^If that is so then im am defintley picking up an 07 350z and putting on a twin kit. It will be awesome to run 500-600rwhp safely on the stock block.

The HR blocks are stronger than the previous DE models, this car will be capable of some awesome power on a stock block

Don't be surprised to see a few 500rwhp stock block Twin Turbo HR's in the near future

Sam you guys are shooting for 600rwhp on the VQ37VHR is that going to be a reliable 600rwhp or you just pushing the limits? Is 500rwhp gonna be reliable on the VQ35/37?

How are the rods on the new HRs?

Aren't the rods the weak link when turboing the stock block VQs?

And what about the higher compression ratio? How to combat detonation on pump gas at boost levels supporting 500 whp w/ such a high compression ratio? W/M? Race fuel?

Guess we all won't know till someone tries - props for being on the leading edge!

Umm that is friggin sweat! I love to see a brand new car with no road grime on it already being modded, must be nice to work on. I notice a LOT more room for mods as well. Since you have plenty of crate motors waiting for a home, how bout you send me one...you know to sponser a midwest guy...maybe...err no. LOL

i was told that the Greddy twin turbo can be accommodated to the HR motor with some kind of rectangular flanges, and compatible to the HR engine throttle bodies can be found on the market , however, the idea of re-using a 15 year old intercooler from a 300zx did not sound enticing, and tinkering a brand new engine, So, do you guys think that Greddy will utilize its old turbines and will vortech superchargers be efficient enough with only one turbine, i dont think that vortech will use two of them, it will be a burden for the motor.

^The problem with adapting the kit to the HR motor is not hard it the engine management that is a problem with the dual throttle bodies.

alright, i wonder if you guys are going to test just the stock block of the vq35hr before converting it to 4.5? so we can see what the capabilities of the plain motor are. as i understood from what you wrote you guys are working on a VQ35 as well(besides the g37 ), that's the reason why i'm asking.
