Clearly 350z_Parasram missed this.
I still see the car driving around sometimes but it definitely no longer has the roof rack, new owner either removed it, or he removed it before selling it.

Any additional info would be great. I'm sure many others would be grateful for a solution like yours as well now that Boofsquire seems to no longer be shipping kits.

Had to bring back my bike from friends garage, so I attached the racks and also took some pictures.
When I was searching for a rack for my Z, I didn't have many options. Didn't want a rack with straps. I visited a guy who lends out Thule equipment. I tried for like 15 clamps. Nothing fitted, but the nearest were older Subaru ones which had bended ends. If I had to fabricate another set, I'd definitely use Subaru ones. Mine were probably 06 Corolla clamps - don't use these because you need to do a lot of bending-cutting-welding.
The pumps on the clamps are welding marks. The both clamp ends have to be welded under an angle. Clamps are covered with heat-shrinkable tube.

I found a picture of the first clamp before covering with heat-shrinkable tube. The center part is additionally welded.
