Dave, Darrel told me about this event. You and I have met at a few Z club events and I rode with you at the last State Patrol track event when I didn't have my car ready due to a bracket issue while adding rear disc brakes.

Would you be open to having an early Z attend? I just installed an LSD in my '73 and as long as I get the gremlins out of it (I think it just needs to be break in) I'd look forward to joining all of you. Would be fun to bridge the Z generation gap

Daniel

PS. If it matters, I can send you a list of the mods to my car. I think it would keep up with the pack, as long as the "nut behind the wheel" holds up.

dkmura, im honestly wanting to go track my car and really learn from you guys and all the others that are willing. i dont have no ego, or anything and ill admit i am intimidated by it, but im up for learning anytime, especially with the Z

but unfortunately the couple days after thanksgiving is when our store gets the busiest... i thought maybe because we hired seasonal ppl that i could get it off.. but it seems even my manager wont let me have it off (he also was a Z32 owner) so he has sympathy for when i need time off for my car stuff.

Hey it's Daniel. I can vouge for him for having a very capable Z and also being a capable driver. I am always in the same group as him in the ZCCC events.

Dave, I’m not sure how, but maybe if we’re still short people we can invite some of the s2000 guys that went to the Open Day PMI track event.

OK, we've all been in that spot before with no cash, so I'm not about to punk ya for that. But taking your Z to one of these events will help you to be a better driver, honest!

Since we've never had any major damage to any Z at one of my events, I'm honestly puzzled about what you might be afraid of.

Daniel- No need for any lists. We'd be happy to have you come along with us and would welcome any generation of Z car. Darrel's S30 did fine when he joined us in the past. I'll add you to the list as our ninth confirmed entry.

Understandable regrets- I just hope there will be a "next time".

I don't think we'd have any problem filling up our HPDE/track day with S2000s, WRXs, Evos and what have you. But hey, I'm a Nissan guy and think it's cool to promote my favorite marque and model. We'll get enough entries to make this a go, but it just blows me away that there are so many G/Z/other Nissan owners out there that could really benefit from this. The cars are certainly capable, but are the drivers?

I'm certain that your Z is more than capable, with or without the GTSpec parts. But hurry up and open up that box, so we can ALL see...

Still over two full weeks to prep your car and get that helmet! Calling all Z car drivers, calling all Z car drivers...

David, there might be a few others from the ZCCC who would be interested. I've got 2 or 3 people in mind with Z32s, but hadn't said anything to them as I didn't want to hijack this event. But if you would like, I'll mention it to them. Let me know.

Also, just want to confirm that a Snell 95 helmet is acceptable?

We'd be more than happy to have some Z32s (or Z31s or S30s or...) join us. Please have them read, monitor and respond on this thread so we can get an accurate count and relay the info.

A Snell 95 helmet is fine, but make sure it's a SA (Special Application) Snell rating for the best protection. The orange colored label itself will say 'SA-95'.

So with about two weeks to go, our confirmed list remains:

Rjg, Kevinapex, GaryM05, Bottom, Jgray, Resolute, Amarao, Zmanco and me

While I was inclined to let Abishop bring his CRX, he went and sold it. Now that he's got some money, he said he can't come because he's having his wisdom teeth extracted that day. Holy $*&%- I didn't realize there was this much angst over attending a simple HPDE/track day at PMI!

Still waiting on Funkeymonkey1111, ZCCC Z32s and others to commit.

Tell him to come to the track and I'll have my leatherman and a bottle of whiskey. Are there doors at PMI? Then I can save on the whiskey and just bring a ball of string.

When we had the PMI monthly private days even during the weekdays, wasn't an issue getting 20+ to commit. But then again, it was not designated to one make/model. I think it's a little bit of timing, fear of reality, and $$ to some. We had plenty more probably 40+ easily that just wouldn't show up.....

How did the CRX get a chance but the EVO won't? Will they allow passengers with helmets as well on this day?

Since Abishop had a Z, but wanted to run his CRX, I was willing to make an exception. But now that he's got a better offer...

As I've said before, I'd like to keep this as a Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun meet (all models welcome), but we'll probably end up opening it up a bit.

Yes, once we get to the track day, passengers with helmets will be allowed and encouraged to take rides!

Save that whiskey for later! I'll bring my Channellocks and some brake clean!

Not trying to be a pain in the A$$ here but I have a G35 but want to run my EVO.

But that's fine. Next year when we pick up our monthly private days again, you all are still invited.

At this point, if you still wish to run your Evo, you're welcome to. Please confirm.
