By the way, not overly sensitive about it. The HPDE from the description of it sounds like its going to be the very best part of the day, and from what everyone says, it’s the biggest reason I want to do this. I got my jollies in all day last PMI going fast and learning the track. This will give me a chance to really improve the high speed driving skills and put it down on the track even more so next time. As the parts on the car start to get racked on, and the car gets faster, I want to know I have the skills to handle them and not get myself injured because I couldn’t. SO cheers for putting this together for everyone, none the less for free, its an amazing opportunity, because as you said, it costs a lot to get this done through a school, trust me I know, I priced it!

I WILL be there. If works calls too bad. I'll tell them I've had a few beers and am a .08 so legally I can't work.

Now, where do we pay and where can I buy a helment?

Frickin' right-on! About time you went on one of these! Some of us will go down to Pueblo on Friday night and stay at a hotel, so maybe THAT will keep work from ringing you up!

As for payment, the track will collect the fee on Saturday morning before we start. For a helmet, I'd suggest you drop by Leary Racing Products (303-922-4227) at 1990 S. Navajo St. in Denver (just west of Evans and Santa Fe) and try on their SA-rated helmet selection. I'd particularly recommend the Impact Racing Velocity model. It's an open faced SA-05 helmet that retails for $225.

I'm going to talk to my parents this week about going. Hopefully they won't mind.

I'm down for Friday. I have friends down there I can stay with. (save money)

Do they accept cash, checks, credit cards? I'm heading to the store today to pick up the helment.

Thanks David! Sooo excited!

Weather is looking much better for the 25th. Weather.com is forcasting high 50's and brilliant sunshine In Pueblo that Saturday. Still a bit early- I'll be updating this thread as Thanksgiving week gets underway.

I'm getting myself up for it! I just put some bump steer spacers in last night and it really settled the front end down. Looking forward to blending the old (240z) with the new (350z)

Me too! Do you mind if I do a ride-along with you? My dad has a 1970 240z, which has inspired me to be a Z fan for most of my life. I doubt he would ever track it though. I would love experiencing a vintage Z on the track at PMI!

Joel, would be thrilled to have you ride along. That's part of the fun!
