Dave,

My wife now has the 9th off. She'll be coming down in the afternoon. Most likely once we start the track time.

Cool! My wife will also be there. She might come down with me, or maybe later in the day.

Guys, my only concern is that your wives won't have much guidence once they get to the track. While Pueblo Motorsports Park has a chainlink fence along it's perimeter, there aren't any gate attendents at the entrance. They'll have to admit themselves and be careful when crossing the track (just after the exit point for T8!) to even get to the paddock. Finally, while they are welcome to spectate (or come along for a ride AFTER they have signed the waiver), don't expect much quality time with them while you're in class. Please let them know there are few amenities at this particular track...

I plan on making sure my wife arrives before the cars start running.

I know this is a little off topic but I was curious if any of the track junkies would be interested in buying a used Turbonetics single turbo kit? I've got one that I'm trying to sell. Check out the classified section for more info. Link

Ordered a new helmet for my massive nugget head... A Bell Sport 3 seems to fit my needs and budget. Is it March yet?

Rob

Where'd you go to check fit? I wear an XL or L helmet (military helmet) because I have a fat head, but I don't want to get something too big...

Morten's Motorsports
9801 Havana St
Henderson, CO 80640 - 8442

We could swing by there Wednesday if you want. I didn't have the best customer service with them so I ordered online. Plus SoloRacer.com prices were a lot cheaper and give me a military discount.
Just do what I did and try on the helmet and order online. I'll also try to remember to bring my to try out if you want.

It's still waaay too early to get excited, but the preliminary weather forecast looks promising for March 9th:

Let's not get too excited until next week, when the forecast data becomes more definitive.

Pegasus Auto Racing Supply http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/

I took measurements and compared the size to my existing helmet. My size was borderline, so I went one size up for comfort. I might be able to fit a hood (forget what they are called) in there too if I ever get that involved with wheel to wheel racing.

You mean a balaclava (not a hood). BTW- I suggest going with a slightly tighter fit if there is any option on a helmet size. In my experience, as a helmet wears over the years, it gets looser on the crown of your head. A loose fitting helmet is not safe in a accident.

Baclava? I thought that was a dessert [kidding]. You knew what I was talking about when I say "fire resistant hood thingy" though

Hey David, I've just been thinking about what you said in your PM.

I know it would help but is it a must that I get my window fix for the event? I have a few more things to do on my jeep. By the way, thank god I got the jeep running for today's snow.

David,

I won't be there at all. The car will be at the shop most of next week so that rules it out. She should be purrin like a cat when she comes back though.(Sorry, but that was the only time that worked for them without waiting until the middle of the following week.)

I was going to come just to hang out but my work is sending someone over who does service for me in the Aspen area for some training all next week so I can't even skip out on a day.
Hope you all have a great time!!!

Mudd
