Sorry I haven't updated since before last week. Between getting out the next issue of Nissan Sport, racing at Sandia and work, I haven't had much time to talk with PMP. I did manage to secure 9/28/07 for us, but I'll have to develop an alternate syllabus to handle both the new participants and the ones who've already been through the HPDC.

For now, that's enough. Planning can take some time and I'll post up more here as I make it up.

BTW- I think Phu has the right idea in going through the basic driving exercises (particualrly with a new car) before heading out onto the track. Having driven several S2Ks, they are almost the opposite of the Z. Quick, high-revving and tail happy- they're a lot of fun (but I still prefer the Z)!

Great news David and thanks for securing the date! That's the hard part. So, where do we send our checks to?

Hey David, at least this way I don't have to open my door to talk to you.

Nothing yet. I've been so busy working on the just released summer issue of Nissan Sport Magazine that I haven't had much of a chance to finalize any further details. We will have enough novice Z pilots that we'll run ALL the driving exercises in the morning. Everyone who has been through these previously will have their option on whether or not to participate. But if you're smart like Phu, you'll use them as an opportunity to test out the feel of a new car, or just that new brake mod you installed. This should be a FUN day!

Awesome! Looking forward to it. Also have some member on MileHighZ.com that need to be added to the list. As we get closer I'll update the complete list.

Everyone might want to start thinking about perparing their car for this event. Those that need brake pads or other special parts might want to consider ordering them soon. Some parts, and we know brake pads, are hard to get a hold of and will take some time to receive.

Looking forward to another safe and fun day at PMP!!!

I just came across this thread - count me in if you don't mind an oldskool Z tagging along

Triple webers are gone - converted to megasquirt fuel injection so no more gas fumes to savor ... I know everyone will miss that

Robert, I took the course earlier this year so unless there are new requirements, don't think I need it again. Not saying I wouldn't go through it again though ...
