bit of a broad question, the evo is better overall handling and probably off the line, the Z would have a chance on the freeway since 4wD isnt the fastest on the fwy but on a road course the Z driver probably has to be good vs. a decent driver evo... 4WD is in a class of its own
as for me id get more girls in my Z which is sporty, handles great, and is a great car in terms of all around style and performance
most girls especially older ones dont dig evos probably cant tell what car it is anyway (although i wouldnt mind having one down the line as a 2nd car)

ive raced 4 evo's. never lost. but a good driver from a dig should beat me but i will be catching. evos all wheel drive owns from a dig with someone who knows how to launch. in my experience however. about 10 percent of evo drivers cant launch their cars

If speed is all you're after, evo for sure...
Couple days ago, on 91, evo pulled up next to me, wanted some action.
Unfortunately, I was on the phone w/ my GF, so I didn't respond.
Turns out it saved me a good deal of embarassment. Dude took off, and I don't think I've seen anything faster, ever ...

I'd get a Z, period. Long term reliability is what i mostly look for in addition to performance in a vehicle. Yes, Evo might be faster if both has the same amount of mods added, but i highly doubt Evo's engine life will last as long as the Z's because it is constantly under boost unlike the Z. And plus, i'm not too fond of that shopping cart wing.

THANK YOU!
I was in the same spot as you back in 05'
1. Mitsu is the Ford of imports my friend.
2. I've never heard any girl say they like the EVO (older ones or whatever you say) Especially comparded to a Z. Women don't think thats hot having a sedan... if they did its because it will carry their kids around (I.E. you driving them to school every day till their 18 ) Z is way hotter, but RSX is hotter than Z.
3. AWD sucks big time on the freeway.... forgettaboutit.
4. GO RSX
