It would be fun to do that again....but is there a 1/4 mile track in the area ?
Don' t think I am into the 1/8 th mile tracks...seem way to short..???
But now your the man to beat in the AX events. I finally got good enough to start beating Gavin, and just starting to get a few wins in on Scott.
You better not make this a habit or I will have to Kill You ! Lol
I'm gonna y to do the last couple events for the year....then I will have to assess my driving for next year.

1/8th mile = blue ball, imo. I've never even seen one and don't ever plan to.
Both Dallas Raceway (Crandall) and Texas Motorplex (Ennis) are open and have test & tune days left, it looks like. Or, if you're into winning some money, they have bracket races, too.
Lol, I beat you guys in 1 event. I doubt this will be a regular thing. You're probably going to have to kill me before it becomes regular, though, or you won't be able to catch me.
BTW, what do you mean assess your driving for next year?

By "assess" I mean to see if I can improve in areas where it will make a difference....or if I should change into faster track events....which I like very much. Also by looking into what changes on the Z or other options I could have to improve on.
I need to read up on some things.

Personally, my vote would be for more seat time on actual tracks vs mods. Man, once I got a taste of what that was like, I couldn't stop (much more addicting than autox for me). The price in Chicago area was more enticing than here, too, at $140-$180 for 120-140 minute days. The down side is cost, because it's $$$$$ replacing brakes, fluids, tires, and gas, not to mention the threats of real damage to your car and your safety/life.

Thanks, Mike! The offset on those wheels is +6.
You have a time slip for that 8.3 pass? That's pretty quick and probably is good for mid-high 12s down the 1320'.

Mike, Chris (350) ran a 12.5 - 1/4 mile that day....I was the one that ran a 13.7 for my first time at the strip.
Still had fun making passes and trying to get a good launch.
----
Chris, I agree with you about seat time on the track....I want more of that kind of driving also.

^ That's the day I was testing out my then-new clutch/flywheel combo and had problems. Ended up only tying my personal best (12.288) from before with the old, slipping clutch. 11s were so close, yet so far. I haven't ran since and the one time I tried, my wheels didn't fit anymore.
Found the old thread, lol:

I usually type Chris P ...for Park and usually my name is Fith or Chris F for...well Fithian not fithamoto....long story.
We definitely need to get a track day together out there with us all....I'm interested to see us all drive together.
Me and Scott had a blast that day out at Cresson MSR exchanging front to back positions and recording it all. I would of liked to know what the lap times were for that day....it was the full 3.1 mile course CCW.

zomg i think you guys have different idea of what track day is...
haven't rolled any fenders yet - but i repaired my driveway (if you can call it that) and finaalllly added the sways and endlinks on the subie - i'll do the back sways and enlinks next month -

yes indeed kartboy - i was up in arms about necessity and practicality and driveability - and went with kartboy - which OMG made a HUGE difference on this car already - good grief - should have done this 7 years ago

I helped my buddy install Kartboy endlinks on his WRX. They are nice and beefy - apparently stock subie endlinks break . The only negative is they aren't adjustable and can affect load on sway bars depending on ride height.

That's awesome Chris! Did you use an actual tire pen or something else?
edit: it's also nice to see those rims cleaned up. lol
