i think that the handles are all the same but i will find out
so i randomly called that J&M paint and body and asked him what he would charge to paint door handles my body color.... he said $60 if i take them off. i may try to drop them off this weekend so he can paint when i am gone

Timing is everything !
--------------
On another note...Travis helped me tint my rear tails tonight.
They turned out great ! Love the look...been wanting to do this for so long.
Have fun Travis skiing ! You'll have a blast.
If anybody wants to do this to their tails....then PM Travis....he has the link for a great set of Vinyl tint that is really easy to put on.

I shot a 244 or 242 on mine. Can't remember which. I was pissed because someone in my class beat me with a 247. I've shot a 249 in practice before but i think i got lucky on that one. Just keep practicing and you'll get it. I shoot more for speed and combat accuracy now than just for pure accuracy. When it comes down to it and you're in the shiet, all of your accuracy training and all those rounds spent trying to hit an x on a target is close to useless.

- tails look great tinted - looks cool with that spoiler too -
are there any specifications on that spoiler? like amount of downforce and drag etc etc? my supra spoiler had specifications which i thought was neat - since thats a nismo, i wasn't certain if they put any specs with it or not -
I can't believe nobody commented on the youtube vid of the 350z goin around ... nords... only to be let down at the end...

So my eBay steering knuckle ball joints have always had a little bit of play (only eBay replacements were available back when I first replaced them.. or buy an entire assembly for like $400 / side or something) but wasn't too big of an issue at first. They've been getting progressively worse and I could feel my steering inputs didn't really translate to the front wheels turning.
I recently went under the car and saw that they had developed significant amount of play as my car would kind of wander around regardless of my steering, lol. Jake saw how much my front wheels wobbled side to side and was like I've only been passing tech at race events because wobbling only happens during steering. Luckily, Duralast (AutoZone) makes a OE-replacement now with OE-like fitment (@ a little more than twice the price of eBay but really the only option.. or $400+ Moonface).

your old ones look like my current ones -
I was thinking about these? or am i looking at the wrong part (these are like over 200 bucks ) - these are Megan Racing roll center adapters/ball joints - Whiteline doesn't make this part for the Z
http://www.conceptzperformance.com/C...ge.php?II=4515
although i'm not certain where the difference between the megans - and the ones you bought is - the picture shows a shim but ?? but??

There's 4 options:
1) OEM assembly ($$$$$) -- OEM
2) Moonface ($$$$) -- these are best if you're lowered as it will adjust your roll center to accomodate your lowered height
3) Megan ($$$) -- these are actually rebadged eBay ones ($) and do not adjust roll center
4) Duralast ($$) -- these will have OE-fitment and lifetime warranty
That conical shim you mention is already there and you re-use that when you replace your ball joint.
I had the eBay (pictured above) and it does not fit properly. I mentioned above about a slight play ever since the install which progressively worsened.
No need to replace yours if it's not clicking or have torn boots, or if you have eBay ones that don't seat the conical shim with the castle nut.

And that vid at Nords is awesome....seemed like local driver...he passed a few peeps too.
Would like to know what tires he was running and what his Z was set up like.

Yeah, I no longer have free play in the front wheels so I'm satisfied. There's still lots of clicking in the front driver's side, though, and I need to figure that out. Anybody want to help me troubleshoot?
Do you have any more info on the Eagles Canyon event?

And yeah, the CHL test forces you to shoot accurately and with some speed, which is what you'll need to be able to do most likely.

Lots to follow up on..
Mike, Great video of the Nurburgring, Chris the comment trail had his car stats- he was on Perrelli P Zero 245F 265R, PSS10 shocks, camber arms and sways. Motor had plenum, headers no cats and dual exhaust.
Chris the tint looks great with the black car.
Chris P, I am always game for some trouble shooting. Of course I work a lot of weekends but if you want some help on a week night let me know.
Haven't seen the Eagles canyon deal-- Need INFO-- is this on the 8 or 9? I am hoping to be around that weekend so at least the PCA events that weekend are on my list.

^ I'd appreciate your help, Scott. I thought it was the ball joints being loose but I'm still hearing it under medium-hard braking/acceleration and I don't think anything is loose (hope not). I was also wondering if my suspension's got some sort of a bind somewhere. Just PM me when you're free and I can work around your schedule.
My rear also has been creaking for about 3 years now. Never did figure that out, either, lol. Perks of old and tired car, I guess.
