If we don't hang out after the race, I'll probably just stop by the dyno since it's kind of on my way home from the race.

okay i found my clunk, the exhuast is hitting on the M brace.. even though it has been spaced down. i loosened it up and got the muffler straight (was a little crooked) and now that it is straight is it resting right on it... what can i put between it and the brace to cushin it some. i have an old exhaust hanger that has that heavy duty rubber, would that work or get too hot there and melt

I would say that exhaust hanger would probably be just fine, but maybe a metal spacer. It's hard to say without seeing it.

As for the bumper/kit idea... The V3 is the best one (true Nismo Z), but you MUST do the entire kit for it to look right. Same with the V2, but even more important on the V3.

Those sides you circled in the pic are from a Mustang I think and are close to pretty nice. We seem to have the same idea for body kit. I've pretty much abandoned my desire for the V2 kit and plan to do the Aerosync front and Strosek sides. They are very similar to those you pictured, but much cleaner looking. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KK227Z9SZr...e-1280x960.jpg

How is it spaced down? Exhaust shop I took it to put two nuts on the bolts in between the frame and brace.

it came with 4 appox 3/8 inch tall spacers. i emailed motordyne to see if the muffler is supposed to have a certain side up, from the rear the outlets are centered but i couldnt get to see the front, it may be off centered not sure

Ah yeah I think I flipped mine at least once to see if it fit better. I don't think it made much of a difference. I remember wondering about that also. I think I put it MD etching side down since that made more sense.

You can save a little more ordering directly from Shine Auto. Shipping is cheaper with them.

I'm definitely going to the event in Roanoke. Unless someone has a better event to go to this weekend. I need to fuel this addiction I've relapsed into.

Man, just found out that the FX uses a different sized bolt in the rear diff mount, so even though the whiteline bushings fit in the hole you can't bolt them on without enlarging the mount hole. I should have gotten one while I was at school and just machined them out when no one was looking.

mine doesnt say motordyne anywhere on it, was kinda disappointed. oh well,, wondeer if he did it to save money or to churn them out faster. for now i just wedged some gaskets from my old exhaust up there to keep it from flopping around like a fish out of water.

Is it the same square-ish single in, dual out muffler? Maybe the 3" one is different.

I still Don't have my Z back !!!!!

My mechanic is trying everything to get the lights to go off....But I think it is above his head.

DAMN......I WANT MY Z BACK !!!!!!

Can we start a fund for me if it needs to go to Nissan for them to fix the problem.....could be $195 per hour they said to diagnose and fix the problem !

I will take checks, money orders, cash, change, tokens, or any other form of currency.

Chris - can't you just get a $60-$100 diagnostic done and then fix it yourself once you know what's wrong?

At grapevine Nissan is a $125 diagnostic and it is applied to the repair if you get it done there
